“Nice to meet you.” Logan said, managing a smile though he felt sort of awkward. The girl was giving him a weird vibe and she didn’t seem too happy with him at that moment and it made him wonder if he had done anything while he was sitting there. “I hope i’m not taking you away from anything important but..it seems pretty quiet in here at the moment.” Logan said with a glance around the place. “Probably because you’re supposed to be closing up.” he mumbled with a small chuckle.

Meredith shook her head at his comment, “Not at all, you’re the only one left in here, and like I said I can’t close up until you want to leave, only close the bar which leaves me with nothing to do.” She said with a slight shrug, looking over at him.

“Sorry… I-I’m Logan. Logan Sitek. I’m not usually like this, I swear. I’m usually sober and nice. I’ve just gone through a breakup is all and I’m trying to cope.” He mumbled, watching as the girl walked away towards the bar to refill his drink. “Thank you.” He said as the glass was placed down in front of him once more. He glanced up at the worker. “Why don’t you join me? Sit down, have a drink. I need some company.”

Meredith sighed softly, running her fingers through her hair before slowly taking a seat. She glanced around the bar, making sure it was empty before letting herself get comfortable in the seat. “Meredith.” She said with a slight smile that faded fairly quickly. “I work here, obviously.” She muttered with a slight shrug, brushing some hair from her face.

Logan ignored her mumbled words, dropping his arms back down on the table and staring at the diamond for a few more seconds before stuffing it back in his front pocket with a frown. “No, of course you don’t. You don’t want to marry me, either. It’s okay, don’t worry.” He muttered, more so to himself, not really expecting the girl to have an answer for him. “Have you gotten my drink again?” Logan said after a moments silence as he looked back towards the girl, having forgotten she was still standing there.

Meredith sighed softly, she hadn’t expected her night to go like this. She was hoping for an easy night, not listening to people’s problems right before she was supposed to close up. “It’s not that I just... I don’t know you. How can you expect someone to give you an answer when you don’t even know their first name?” She asked, trying to keep her usual snarky tone out of her voice. She shook her head a bit at his question, “Was just off to get it.” She said softly, taking his empty glass and heading back to the bar. She prepared his drink before returning it to his table.
