Somewhere, sometimes. Digging memories out of long forgotten films.
One of the things I prefer about film photography is taking a roll to the shot having forgotten what was precisely photographed with. Who? When? Why? Where? And the surprise once you look at the prints. All the memories. The emotions.

Picture taken from my den. 28 rue Burdeau, Lyon. I remember. Sun was coming up, I was already awake, getting ready to go catch a train to the South. Blurry memories, but I can still feel the awe of those moments, from these windows.

Some of the amazing people I met through life. Students, coworkers; there are so many more. Looking back at these pictures, I remember how mundane it felt to take them, for they are, when you think about it, mundane. Photos of a Christmas party at a local school, oh well! Yet, however common, they reached straight to my heart when I looked at them. They have a background. Time is stopped at this very moment, and those pictures have a past and a future. Mundane emotions, passing through, just as powerful as it was back then.
