I've been thinking about this, while writing lore, but how do you guys see the relationship between Banban and Flumbo?
This is my idea for it: I don't see them as siblings.
I really don't know how people got that idea, I guess because both had Syringeon making them. But I see them more as clones of each other. Like Flumbo is the better version of Banban. They share the same DNA, like completely the same genome found within mitosis or asexual reproduction. "A more perfected version of case6"
It is likely he has Uthman's DNA just like Banban but maybe a part was taken out to make him more stable? Like he doesn't know he's Uthman but has the same memories. It's not really told yet within the games.
Siblings don't have the same DNA, even identical twins don't have fully the same DNA, even though it is nearly. The reports don't say if their dna is different, both have human and givanium. Maybe their different phenotypes could indicate differences but their bodies are made before givanium and DNA are given. But still, they seem more like clones, the same person, meant to be one. Like two halfs of the same person.
This is just a idea for a headcannon but maybe Banban represents the bad parts of Uthman Adam as a person, his ego, his drive for power and science, while Flumbo represents the good parts of Uthman, his innocence and empathy, and want to be wanted by others. Two sides of the same coin.
This doesn't mean I don't think Syringeon thinks of them as his own "children" his creations. To be honest I headcannon Syringeon still thinking of Banban as that same small thing in gobb 0 before Uthman's DNA was added to him, this vessel stage that made this red givanium thing its own person, but after Uthman's dna was added, he was no longer this givanium thing with its own memories and wants, but instead is now Uthman. He has Uthman's memories now and his ambitions, and no longer remembers what happened within gobb 0. This probably devastated Syringeon, who didn't want another Uthman but his own being. So I think maybe Banban doesn't see Syringeon as his dad but his colleague or his own experiment as Uthman is one of the top physicians in the kindergarten, while Syringeon refuses to let go of his memories of that little thing in gobb 0.
And actually maybe now thinking of it, maybe Flumbo doesn't have Uthman's DNA as he wasn't able to be finished because of Syringeon. But I do think it would be cool if Flumbo did have Uthman's DNA and just choose to be a better person regardless of it.
I shouldn't have to also say this but, this doesn't mean I ship them (Flumbo x Banban) relationships can be a lot more than black and white and just because I don't see them as siblings doesn't mean I think they should be in a romantic relationship. There are other types of love and I think showing love between them shouldn't be so taboo in this fandom.
