Hello, I am Wasim, 21 years old. My family and I were displaced from the city of Rafah two and a half years ago; we lost everything we owned—our home, our livelihood, and our loved ones.
We are currently living in a dilapidated tent that offers no protection against the summer heat or the winter cold.
My mother suffers from a spinal disc condition and is in great distress due to our dire living situation. We lack proper housing, so she has to cook over an open fire, which aggravates her pain. She urgently needs medication; she requires $250 weekly for medicines, vitamins, and physical therapy.
