hey everyone, lexie here with a very important announcement. as you may have noticed, the activity on the main and on our characters have dropped slightly and you guys may have been wondering why. since westmount opened about two months ago, the whole admin team has dedicated practically 100% of our time to managing westmount. we’ve had our ups and downs and us admins have had a lot to deal with.
you lovelies have been amazing members but it has gotten so overwhelming that we’d practically ignore the main instead of actually getting on because of how much work it was. roleplaying is supposed to be fun but it just doesn’t feel fun anymore. i know it’s unusual for a roleplay to close because of such a matter but if you knew just how much we’ve had to deal with, i promise it’s no fun at all. me and rio opened because we needed someplace chill place to play our characters. we didn’t expect to open to quickly, i mean we reached our fifteen applications goal in less than 12 hours, that was insane and from there on, it didn’t slow down. some may say that we shouldn’t complain because getting people is a good thing but there is such a thing as too much work and this is the case.
we don’t want you you guys to be mad at us, it really breaks our hearts to do this but when you don’t even want to log on your own roleplay, it’s because there’s a problem. it’s even worse when you have four admins and you still can’t keep up. an application only takes about five minutes to add to all pages (fc, character, roommate, secret, clubs, etc) and we get at least five per day and then we’re stuck making activity checks and deleting all our work because of various reasons. on top of it all, there are the requests from members to change stuff, wanted connections, events to plan, promoting the roleplay and just taking care of the main in general.
you guys are not the problem, we don’t want you to feel like we’re blaming you but we had things blow up too quickly and we weren’t ready for it. we are full-time students who also work on the side and we are not obligated to deal with all of this. we admin because we want to, because it’s supposed to be a fun thing on the side and now it feels like i’m a part time student and a full time admin and not the opposite.
because of all those reasons, WESTMOUNTHQ WILL BE CLOSING ON FEBRUARY 5TH AT 12AM. we are giving you guys the time to wrap up your threads, get each other’s contacts and whatnot. as for the admin team, you can come to us if you have any questions but please, please don’t be rude and try to understand why we are doing this. we may or may not be reopening this roleplay someday, and if you come across it again, definitely send in an app.
