A Writer’s Dilemma
A writer searches for her creations, in her World.
Anytime? All the time. Anywhere? Everywhere.
Lips described as a Cupid’s bow, in Dan Brown’s Inferno…
Introduction to her next lead.
The sneering insults hurled at a Freshman by his tutor…
First Words of her newest grey-character.
The weird-and-long simile used by a transfer student seething with sheer sarcasm…
The adorable sidekick’s catchphrase.
I wonder, then, how it got messed up when it came to you.
On your person, could’ve been based a character,
Strong-willed and ambitious, a shoelace untied.
Your eyes could’ve had poetry sworn by their orbs.
A morbid poetess’s rose-creamed paradise.
Your voice could’ve made my heroine’s day better by a billion.
Mellow and believable, demanding often; A Titanic Capsized.
Your hands could’ve held onto her wild dreams for me.
Unhesitant, faithful, but fumbling with ties.
BUT the smitten dreamer in my meatsuit refused to compromise.
I couldn’t use your attained perfections for my selfish literary designs.
My heart meddled like a stubborn queen, and claimed you for mine.
But my protagonist had betrayed some; she had a rebellious streak, as I write.
And she did betray my oath, I tried but couldn’t deny her spirits high and despairing sighs
So my hero, who she ended up walking into a sun-set horizon with, turned out to be YOU in disguise.
