************************************************************************** Just a quick word of thanks for all the support, I am just back from the World Amateur Kickboxing organisations European Championships where I was Competing as a masters athlete (+40s Division). I won my division +94kg Mens and would like to thank you for all the support this year. I love the new layout of the gym and in a year I struggled to prepare fully the new fresh look to West park helped me a long that difficult journey between training and everyday life (in my case becoming a grandad for the first time).

Join us for Westpark's Christmas hike on Sunday 4th of December. The plan is to meet in Blessington at 9.30am and from there we will car pool to Glendalough for a 3.5hr hike to include 1 climb. The climb is optional, if you prefer to stay on the flat that's fine. Proper footwear and rain gear is essential.

After the hike we will get changed in Glendalough and head to The West Wicklow House Blessington for food for 3pm. I will be booking a section in The West Wicklow so I will need to know numbers. We will have a goodie bag for everyone on the day. Feel free to invite friends and family.

Gym wise it couldn't be going any better , I'm constantly improving my fitness and my injuries are getting better from constantly putting the work in at Westpark. On the topic of Westpark I think the new layout is amazing , and it's a lot more professional looking.

I'm starting to get back to archery slowly and it's getting better my shooting (when I do shoot) is very good and I feel good about my shooting.

On competition there won't be many in the indoor season for me as I'll be just training and getting my fitness and shooting ready for next season but I do have a competition this weekend, the Irish Open. I'll be shooting in the senior and junior category and I'll do the best I can .

I'm trying my best in the gym and in archery and hope to continue making everyone proud and I'm honoured as always to be sponsored in such an amazing gym with such amazing people that are always willing to help me, so I'd like to thank Westpark for all they have done to help me thus far 💪🏻 I'll update everyone on my athlete page on Facebook on how I'm doing at the Irish Open.

Firstly I just want to say a huge thanks to Westpark and their team for their facilities and amazing staff members. It is a honour to be sponsored by the best gym around. The atmosphere, cleanliness and friendly staff members all make training easy.

Next Sunday I fly to Greece for the WAKO European Championships representing TMA (Tallaght Martial Arts) and KBI (Kickboxing Ireland). I will be competing in the -60KG division. KBI is the national govern body of kickboxing and is recognized by sports Ireland. KBI are members of WAKO (World Kickboxing Organisation) who are part of sports accord and have recently been accepted to the World games. WAKO is the only world kickboxing body who has this hopefully this and hopefully will further the path to getting Olympic recognition.

I have been training extremely hard for this all year but particularly in the past four months. Training kickboxing working on technical, physical and sparing 6 nights per week and in the gym doing strength conditioning and cardio 3-4 times per week. We fly on Sunday and start fighting Tuesday to Saturday with one or two fights per day. I feel ready with all my training done and support from my coaches Martin Bannon & Dave Heffernan. I can't wait to weigh in firstly then get on the mats and show all my hard work.

As a first time ever Gym user I can honestly say that Westpark is an amazing Gym from the very first day I walked in I was made to feel so welcome. Their staff are just amazing and nothing is a problem for them. There is always someone about to give you help and support if needed. The classes are very enjoyable and the new equipment is just the best. 2 years later its still the best decision I ever made in selecting a Gym and I have a lot to thank Westpark and its staff for...

The staff are brilliant, from reception to cleaning staff to fitness instructors. Everyone is very friendly and always do their best to help you and create a great atmosphere in the gym. The equipment is excellent, always in good condition and their is a huge variety and range to suit all types of training. The classes are by far the best I've ever taken part in and no matter what class you choose its always very enjoyable and you feel like you've gotten a great workout from it.

The Superleague season is well underway in Ireland again. My team Eanna BC, is really starting to find our feet in our second season in Ireland's top flight. Every week is a challenge and we are really looking forward to our journey to Tralee next weekend to play Kerry football star Kieran Donaghy and the Tralee Warriors in front of a packed gym. The college season has also begun where I will captain DIT for my final year and we are hoping to win the All-Ireland Title this season! My individual training has been great, unfortunately I hurt my ankle a few weeks back but thanks to all the great equipment at Westpark I did not miss any games. I also got a great core exercise plan from new fitness team member Matt! Like all the other members at Westpark he is super approachable and gives great advice and I would highly recommend anyone with any queries to just ask!
