“Good.” It was weird to be in love again and this time Kai didn’t want to let it go. He wanted to hold it and cherish is so long as she lived. While walking, he quickly made a stop to the liquor store for them to grab a bottle or two to celebrate.

Felicity had never imagined that she would be engaged to Kai Parker, but being here now, she knew this was how it was meant to be. “White or red or one of each?”

“Good, because I wanted it to be perfect for you.” Kai smiled pecking her lips before his hand was laced with hers, pulling her to start leaving the scene to go and celebrate their new status.

“You succeeded. Very much so.” She grinned. She moved with him when he pulled her. She had never been more happy and she couldn’t wait for the happiness to continue.

Kai couldn’t help but smile, “I love you too, Felicity Westphall.” There wasn’t anything he didn’t love about her. The good the bad, he loved it all. Even if by some reason they broke up or she said no and left him…he knew he’d be a better man because of her. She was his light unlike Katherine who brought out the devil in him, encouraged his darkness. “You read my mind.” He smirked as he brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear with his free hand that wasn’t laced with her fingers.

Felicity smiled up at him. “Well, let’s go then.” She looked around again, taking in everything he’d done for her. “This really does look amazing. You did a really good job, I love it. Everything is perfect.” She leaned into his touch.

“I promise.” He nodded with a small laugh and shake to his head. Part of Kai knew that it was wrong to be with her, to have her because of who he was and what everyone thought of him. No one would be happy for him and he hated dragging her down, but she was the good that he needed in life. He loved her more than anything.

“Good.” She smiled up at him. “I love you, Kai Parker.” She intertwined their fingers. “You know we should celebrate. We could grab a bottle of wine, spend the night in... order take out later?”

“I’ll be forever yours.” Kai smiled. Even if things were being ‘rushed’ by some people, he knew love, being that he didn’t feel it very often for people. Being with her made him a better man, he showed care, weakness, and love.

“Promise?” She teased with a tilt of her head. She knew that there would most likely be backlash to this. She knew that their being together was the least favorite thing of many people, but she didn't care. she loved him and that was all that mattered.

“That I can do.” He stated with a smile against her lips before they were away from his. Kai wasn’t sure who on his side of the family that would show up aside from his kids of course. “I’ll be there without a second thought waiting for you.” That was a promise.

“Good.” She grinned. “That’s all I want. You’re all I want. Forever.”

Hearing her say she liked the sound of having his last name was a sigh of relief as most of his siblings couldn’t wait to get rid of the name. But Felicity was different. The biggest question would only come with time and that would be if she wanted to become a vampire with him and live eternity if there was ever a chance for them to leave. Kissing her lips back when she did so he raised up a brow. “I will give you my input without hesitation, but the planning behind it will be best suited for you or one of those girl friends of yours.”

Felicity grinned and nodded. “The wedding party will probably be where I need your input the most, outside of the food. I will definitely have plenty of planning help between cousins and friends.” She hummed happily. “But as long as you’re there waiting for me at the end of the aisle all the planning in the world won't matter, because it will be worth it.”

“Mrs. Felicity Parker... I like the sound of that.” She grinned. “I want this to be your perfect day too, so you can be involved in the planning as much or as little as you want.” She pecked his lips happily.

Felicity nodded. “Mhmm, cake and food tasting requires your input too.” She grinned. She pressed close to him. “Very, very happy” She rest her head on his chest. There was only one thing that would have made this moment even better, but she was trying to keep that from her thoughts and just focus on how happy being engaged to the love of her life made her.

“For you… I guess I could help with the tasting.” He laughed as he looked at her, unable to not fall more in love with her, if that were even possible. Kai had to try and burn that memory from his mind about what they lost, but what they didn’t lose was each other and what life they were only just starting.

After kissing him a bit longer she pulled back slightly to look at him. “I hope you know what you’ve gotten yourself into. I’m one of those girls whose been planning her wedding since I knew what a wedding was.” She smirked teasingly.

He did know that Felicity was the type of girl that would go crazy about a wedding, in a way it reminded him of Caroline in that sense. She was pure happiness and light and if a big wedding was what she wanted.. he’d suck it up and give her a big wedding.

Felicity watched him put the ring on her finger and looked at it for a moment before jumping up and wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him deeply. “I love you so much.” She mumbled against his lips.

Kissing her back, Kai wrapped his arms around her waist holding her close to him. “I love you too.” He muttered against hers as well. It was so unreal to be engaged again for him.

Felicity grinned into the kiss. She couldn’t believe this was happening. It didn’t seem real. After kissing him a bit longer she pulled back slightly to look at him. “I hope you know what you’ve gotten yourself into. I’m one of those girls whose been planning her wedding since I knew what a wedding was.” She smirked teasingly.

Felicity kissed him back happily. Jokingly she raised an eyebrow at his request for her to shut up but nodded and listened as he spoke. Tears formed in her eyes as he spoke. She couldn’t believe that this was actually happening. When he went to one knee and pulled out the ring her hand went to her mouth in awe. Happy tears began to roll down her cheeks as she nodded. “Yes. Yes, a million times yes!”

Kai couldn’t help but have a goofy smile plastered on his lips when she said yes. It was like music to his ears. Standing up, he took out the ring and slide it onto her finger which fit like a glove.

Felicity watched him put the ring on her finger and looked at it for a moment before jumping up and wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him deeply. “I love you so much.” She mumbled against his lips.

When Felicity read the note Kai left her a smile spread across her face and she immediately followed the instructions. When she saw the rose petals and the candles her heart began to race. She followed the path until she saw him. A smile spread across her face as she made her way to him. “Hey, you.”

Seeing Felicity only made him have a smile on his face. After losing Katherine, their baby and feeling the world hate him, she was his light. “Hey.” He greeted as he kissed her on the lips. “I’m going to need you to shut up for a moment while I talk.” He told her as he slide a hand along her arm. “Being with you changed so much in my life and I can’t decided if it’s good or bad but what I can say is that being with you has made me the happiest I could be. I love you and there isn’t anything I can say or do to take away your pain without doing something you would hate me for. Doing things together is what I know is the best because without you I’m a black hole. What I’m trying to say really is..” He started as he knelt down and pulled out the box lifting up the top of it to show the ring. “Felicity Westphall. Will You Marry Me?”
