concept: Theseus' Cast

A piece of media whose entire cast is completely killed off and replaced with a new cast. They are not related to the core story in the same way as the original cast. (ex. Guy wants to get revenge on Gal for killing his father. When Guy dies, he hires Mercenary Rick™ to kill Gal for him."

At the end one of the characters goes "Why are we doing this?" and the story just ends abruptly.
