A WETLAND FIELD GUIDE

Wetlands represent an important ecological resource and the objective of this site is to share some photos and information on local wetlands. They can be extremely diverse and range from very small to very large, pristine to highly degraded and natural or completely constructed. In my work as an environmental scientist, specialising in mosquito management (University of Sydney & NSW Health Pathology), I spend many hours working in natural, constructed and rehabilitated wetlands. While there will be an emphasis on wetlands within the Sydney region, I will also try to cover some from elsewhere in NSW (perhaps even beyond).
