A new face appears at Air Temple Island, just before Prince Wu's coronation, having just discovered her air bending skills under intense duress. Except she's not a completely new face exactly, not to Kya.
Tenzin is over joyed to welcome an air bender of Sun Warrior descent, and Asami, who has been struggling immensely lately, could definitely use a new friend in Korra's absence and the physical distance between her, Mako, and Bolin.
Follows the plot of season 4 with an added character, essentially.
