Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
uh, Yeah. You’ve got problems.
Well, I can't control what I feel, only what I do, I guess...

Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
uh, Yeah. You’ve got problems.
Well, I can't control what I feel, only what I do, I guess...
"Is it not obvious by now that I enjoy your pain?"
"I'm starting to think I need more protection from you than from the non-mutants, that is for sure..."
"This place is boring as shit. Let’s get tattoos or something before I choke on this bland porridge of a school."
"Why tattoos...? Frienship bracelets sound less painful..."
"Don’t worry about it, it’s normal to feel lonely sometimes." he reassures the other and pulls out some clothes from the dryer to start folding them. "I can’t say I know too much about what happen here during the previous war. I was still living with my family and slowly discovering my powers then. Don’t let it get to you, alright?"
"As for my power.." he chuckles and teleports himself on top of the washing machine closest to Barry, "it tends to come in handy when I’m late for class."
Barry smiled brightly. Finally someone who seemed to understand and show some compassion. "I was shielded by my family form the war as well... And they always seemed to actually enjoy me using my power. Thanks... I'll try not to let it get to me." He sighed, as he set the washing machine. Suddenly, Johnny was very close. Barry yelped in surprise and then giggled. "I'd be lying if I said I am not jealous. How far can you teleport?" He asked. "Does it have a distance limit, or can you be in the other side of the world in the blink of an eye?"
Jade looked the boy over a couple more times before sliding off the desk. “Well, that’s comforting,” she spoke slowly with a hint of laughter in her voice. He looked shy, and it had been quite a while since she had last taken a poor little puppy under her wing. Still, she told herself not to get any ideas, because she wasn’t about to be staying any longer than necessary. She’d already had her fun surprising everyone at the winter formal. “Any more observations, young one?” she asked teasingly, still stepping slowly toward him.
He swallowed dryly, and cleared his throat. "Professor Bluestone isn't..." He paused. No he was not going to say his teacher was not that bad looking. At least not out loud. "Ah... Do you know where he is?" He asked, as he clutched the books closer to his chest. "I had some questions for him..."
Barry was trying to have some privacy in the hallways, leaning against a secluded corner, talking to his cellphone in a worried voice. "Hey, Booth, it's Barry... You said I could call whenever... I tried to, but you're probably still away, but call me when you get this message, please?" He hung up, and sighed as he looked at the screen of his phone.
Jade sat in Ben’s office, perched on his desk with her legs crossed. She leaned back, fingers playing with all the random items he had laid out. “Professor Bluestone,” she read softly from the small metal triangle that sat near the edge, presumably to make sure people knew who he was. Jade snorted a little under her breath. Who would have thought this is where mister party animal would end up? She’d certainly bet on the wrong side of that one.
Right as she was setting the object back on the desk, she sensed an energy enter the room. A slow smirk spread across her lips before she looked to the door- but it wasn’t Ben she found. Still, Jade let her eyes drag over the visitor. “Hm.. Hey,” she greeted with a hint of laughter in her voice.
Barry entered the office, hoping this time his professor would be kinder than he had been before, and more willing to clear some doubts. He wasn't feeling lucky, though. When he entered the room, he was surprised to see a woman. First thing that crossed his mind, was that she was his teachers girlfriend, or wife, or... something. But then he realized she was alone, and Ben was nowhere to be seen. The second thing that crossed his mind was that his teacher had been experimenting with his power and ended up turning himself into a woman. The later seemed like a more interesting option. "H- Hi... You don't look like Professor Bluestone..." He stated, not wanting to assume anything and make a fool out of himself.
"No, I eat my cereal in peace." He’s definitely not checking you out.
Barry blinks softly, and sighs. "Oh, it's you..." He sounded disappointed. He had been woken from his nap by someone walking in the room, and was not expecting his roommate.
"Oh! So your power is nature-related?" he asks excitedly, "I spend a lot of time in the woods too. Though maybe not for the same reason. I just like running around, climbing and getting muddy." He stops and chuckles once he realizes he’s been rambling.
"Anyway, it’s good to see I’m not the only one that enjoys being outside." he comments, "If you don’t mind, I could tag along to one of those excursions of yours."
Barry nodded and smiled. "Ah, yes, plant manipulation. What about yours?" He asked, as he put the jeans in one of the washing machines. "I would very much enjoy the company." He stated, blushing slightly, and looking down at his feet. "I thought this place would be good to make friends, but... Apparently everyone's too busy thinking about the war to be bothered with me." He ran a hand through his hair, and shook his head. "Not that they don't have the right to worry about that, but it gets somewhat lonely..." He looked up and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sorry, I'm ranting."

That’s fucked up, man. You need to get ahold of yourself.
Can you control your feelings, then?
Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
So you have no control over yourself.
I- no- I mean, yes! I have control over myself- Just not over my feelings.
Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
Stop it.
I can't just... turn it off... And you making me nervous... doesn't really help.
Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
Why are you stuttering?
Because I'm... I do that sometimes... Most of the time.
Raising a brow and nods to the boy, recognizing him as well but again, maintaining character. “I was quite serious, yes. Also, thank you.” This was very awkward, she wasn’t sure if her sexuality was different in this body. “Where you headed looking so..fine?” She hit herself for using that word right after saying it, in her head at least.
Barry blushed a darker shade of red, and looked down at his feet. "I was... I..." He didn't remember. "I was just taking a walk... I guess..." He stuttered nervously, and then smiled. "I'm Barry..."
At the library
He shook his head and waved his hand at him. “Oh no. I wouldn’t have you cook for me on our first day meeting each other! Besides, I don’t think I’d have enough time before my next class would start. Maybe another time during the weekend so I can savour it.” Gregory was impressed by how kind his new friend was. They barely knew each other and he was willing to go through this trouble for him? Heck, he wasn’t sure he’d do that for anyone. He got up, brought his back to his shoulder and followed Barry. “So you’ve been here for long or…?” Gregory enquired.
Barry nodded "Sure, anytime you want to. But I really don't mind it,I like cooking." He looked over at his friend, and shook his head. "Ah, no, I haven't been here for long, actually." He explained, shrugging softly. "I didn't even know this place existed until a few months ago. What about you?"
Is everyone really going to that stupid ball?
"I... I don't think I'm going..."
