        Those kids only die because they’re bad; being newbies and all…! If they die, they’ll learn; and if they learn, they die less! Eventually..! It’s quickest for them to learn from all their mistakes, so isn’t it fine if a dozen or so die? It’s faster than if I just give them pencils and paper, you know~! ❞

“Don’t be intentionally ignorant. There’s nothing to be learned from tossing them to their deaths haphazardly. You teach them methods first, then put them in simulations to exercise those methods. Stop giving me unnecessary amounts of work.”

“The possibility of The Terminator seems a very real one to me, yes.”  He said simply before blackening the screen so that he could spin the device once more. Then away it went in his front pocket. “I don’t want to have to find things on this useless space-age gadget.”

That remark was amusing enough to merit a chuckle. Given where they were, it wouldn’t be too shocking if something resembling The Terminator did show up. “Really? What a shame given all that was spent on it. Carmine seems fond of these, so I imagine he’ll find some apps to mandate.” Especially if she recommends some.

“You really are an outdated old man. The times are going to leave you behind if you don’t catch up. Imagine if updated technology were the very thing that killed you someday.” She peered at his phone. How very like him. “Then you should be capable of finding everything else, I’m sure.”

“Oh? But gives us more options. There’s more we can do with them now.” She chuckled at the thought. More required apps would drive him crazy. “Have you put a password on it yet?”
