Omg i've just been browsing through all of your art and it is sooo amazing! :) Just curious as to how you developed your style? (idk if that is something even answerable)
thank you, thank you, lovely human :’) well, my style is pretty fluid to be honest-i’m only 17, and i’m most certainly still in the process of switching it up; experimenting with as many different ways of making art as i can. i developed the semi-realistic style i use on this blog, whereby i draw outlines (and sometimes make more refined pictures) solely by learning to draw on my ipad. strangely enough, the use of new media brought about a new style of drawing/painting for me-something i didn’t know could happen, but it seems a little obvious in retrospect ;) otherwise, when i’m drawing on paper with graphite (or charcoal or whatever) i just redraw a form several times until it’s more-or-less accurate. sorry for rambling on, i’m not the most articulate of people-i only hope i vaguely answered your question ^_^

Do you have any suggestions for beginner artist and just art over all?
heyy, i have been kinda un post-y lately but i’m back now and i don’t normally have advice but i’ll try ^.^
do the thing. well, more specifically find your thing, and then do it. idc what it is but if you wanna start making art you should totally try a lot of stuff and go all out testing things or acting on any ideas you have, bc hey-you could find something you’re seriously incredible at. so yeah, try as many “types” of art as you can-it’ll give you an idea of what you’re into.
if you’ve already found your thing(s) then that is super cool (keep trying new ones if you want) but if you’re doing something that you really like then don’t stop bc stuffs that make you happy are the best.
literally give no fucks. sometimes you may make something that is so bad in your own opinion that you just wanna cry (i have legitimately been there and ik i’ll find myself in that position again) but just try and remember (ik it’s hard omg) that it’s all part of a process and that it really doesn’t matter. like, at all. try and laugh about it if you can.
another thing. you don’t need to do art everyday and the silly misconceptions about this annoy me ahh (mainly bc i am sick, but also lazy and procrastinate-y).but seriously, do it when you want. okay, there are times when i do force myself to do a 2 minute sketch with the promise that if i hate it, i can go back to watching youtube videos, but this is usually when my motivation is not even a thing anymore. ((like, when it’s practically the antithesis of itself-see: anti-motivation as a concept?)) also, with a solution like that, 9 times out of 10 i actually get into the sketch and stick with it.
uh…look at stuff and engage with surrounding thingys i guess (who am i to tell you what to do haha?)-sometimes the stuff that inspires you is surprising, but people are influenced by so many different things, so just pick some.
anyways, there are so many more things i could say, but i picked a few i could think of quickly. i hope i helped, even if only a tiny bit

hiya :) this is emma, i told you about her before. she's really sick, and she made this video at the beginning of this year. she has bad anxiety, but really wants to make a youtube channel. she's letting me post this on her behalf. what she'd like is your opinion on whether she should actually start this channel, which you can give to her here x

i love them both, and i love it when they make cool stuff together.
i love the fact that we can easily recognise them from just their outlines
and i love how much they help and inspire people everywhere.
