Lance Sweets is great representation for autistics whose special interest is people. Cause you can spend every day of your life learning about psychology and sharpening your social skills, until you're actually way better at reading people than most neurotypicals, but that's ultimately not gonna do much in helping you make friends. Cause in the end, no amount of social skills can make you stop acting like yourself, so you're always gonna be that weird kid everyone thinks is annoying.
I don't know if you've seen The Mentalist but you can't convince me that Brennan and Jane wouldn't be the best of friends as would Booth and Lisbon

RIP to the suspects and witnesses of Bones TV. You get dragged into an interrogation room by an FBI agent and a nerd in a lab coat who you’re pretty sure has no police authority at all. A whimsical soul loosely associated with the case tells you to follow your heart. A guy walks in who you’re pretty sure is richer than Elon Musk and tells you he’s a fan of the species of moth he found in your closet. The FBI agent and the nerd from before use your parental trauma to work out some sort of interpersonal problem they have and then procede to have eye sex with you still in the room

well only one of these guys had an entire episode dedicated to connecting with an autistic patient. a patient that no one else could click with. who was shown as using the PSP gift for the rest of the show. who had his coworkers go "I think he's autistic" and then end with "he's not autistic he just wants to be autistic because he thinks social rules are dumb" which. is not how that works. (and is cowardice on the writers' part because they already gave him Daddy issues and a physical disability and homoerotic tension with his best friend) his whole thing is being dedicated to "solving the puzzle" to the point of putting himself in danger. it is explicitly a way he copes when quitting Vicodin. he is a stubborn bastard who believes he is always right, to the point of putting himself and others in danger to prove it. also he's literally Sherlock
