I don't know about the shitty season 4 ending y'all are talking about cuz my episode 9 ended here 🥰
My friend and I were discussing what Robin would be like as a Sims player and we decided Robin would be absolutely feral and she would most certainly kill all the dudes in the game. So I present to you: the Fruity Four watching Robin play the Sims. Starring Steve who is desensitized to Robin’s methods of playing the Sims, Eddie who is scared for his safety, Nancy who is terrified but also confused, and Robin who just wants to have her two female sims marry each other!!
—
Eddie: uHM, STEVIE???
Steve: Huh?
Nancy: Are you… are you aware that Robin is drowning three people in this pool she built? Like… she put walls around it and everything…
Eddie: IS SHE LIGHTING HER SIMS SON ON FIRE????
Steve, casually: Yeah, she does that a lot.
Eddie: DOES WHAT?? KILL PEOPLE IN GAMES???
Steve: Well, she kills the men in the Sims.
Nancy: It doesn’t make it better that she’s playing the Sims while doing it. It just means that she has the choice to not kill them or, at the very least, try to keep them alive. Instead, she is actively choosing the option to not… do that.
Eddie: Oh my god, she set the house on fire—wHY IS THE WIFE, THE FAMILY DOG, AND THE WIFE’S BEST FRIEND ALL OUTSIDE WATCHING THIS HAPPEN???
Steve: She likes them.
Nancy: Likes them?
Eddie: Steve, my love, light of my life, big boy—
Steve: Don’t call me that.
Eddie, continuing: —What the fUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!
Steve: Robin has some pent up anger and she needs a place to let it out.
Nancy: Let it out?
Eddie: SOME???
Robin, grinning fondly while watching the house burn down: Lily and Katelyn can live happily together with Sparky in another home now.
It’s just… Robin
Season 4 Episode 9 parallels
Broke: Nancy and Steve are both better people now. They can be together again!
Woke: Nancy and Steve grew on their own, and it would ruin their arcs if they would be a couple again. Them becoming a platonic duo wouldn't be so bad tho.
Bespoke: Nancy should either end up alone or with Robin. Jonathan has different plans in college, but still lies to Nancy about his college application, and the 6 Harrington nuggets wasn't just for Nancy. She needs someone who would support her and has plans that would align with hers, someone different, yet also similar to her (and that would be Robin). Steve was also out of character this season with Nancy, cuz he said in season 3 that he wasn't in love with her anymore. He deserves someone who would make him happy and be happy to have 6 Harrington nuggets with him. His arc shows how much he has matured, and well, part of maturing is letting go. I think he would just be happy for Robin if she gets a girlfriend (even if it's Nancy). Plussss, I think Steve might be the first one to see Nancy as a bi disaster.
ROBIN BUCKLEY + every_lesbian
Lesbians are now angry that st*ddie always appears in the ronance tags in ao3 and sometimes even in tumblr?
Well, yes, I'm lesbians. At this point, I'm not just annoyed cuz in fact, I'm so furious I'm gonna go feral :)
Started from the bottom...
There’s more to life than stupid boys!
atp i could see a video of maya and natalia holding funkos of their characters and making them kiss and i wouldn’t even be surprised
murray seeing nancy and robin: oh my god not this again
in the podcast robin says that nobody in hawkins ever surprises her, that she admires it when people have an actual desire to learn things, and that what she likes about tammy is that she’s curious. and then she gets to know the curious nancy wheeler who is so passionate and brave and goes around town uncovering mysteries and says “full of surprises, isn’t she?” with that smile on her face and i’m just meant to believe she isn’t head over heels
Tbh I have never written any fics before, and english is not my first language, but I'm really tempted to write a ronance fic rn. But it would be inspired from a film I watched before, and it was really sad y'all. Just angst, no comfort. And yes, in that story I will k-word one of 'em. Idk if you'll support me with this, so if this post reaches 50 likes maybe I'll try to write it :")
I really love our girls and the fluff on ao3, just missing some angst, I guess :")
I'M HAVING MY HOPES UP AGAIN CRYING SCREAMING RIPPING MY HAIR OUT. THAT'S IT. THAT'S THE POST.
Natalia really said “I like Nancy having a girlfriend. It’s nice.”
SHE DIDN’T SAY SHE LIKED THE IDEA OF IT
SHE SAID HAVING A GIRLFRIEND
LIKE IT’S A FACT
BECAUSE IT IS.
"Would that be so terrible, for me to wish happiness for my friends?"
The thing that I just realized is that Nancy immediately answered Robin's question with a defensive tone "You think I'm not happy?", then tried to say that they're fine but eventually rambled about her and Jonathan's LDR problem. After doing so, she went back to the happiness of friends thing and asked if they're friends officially?!
That leads me to think that 1) Nancy really listens to every word Robin says, no exceptions (add the part when she also remembered that it took Robin longer to walk than all the other babies) and 2) she allows herself to be vulnerable around Robin (and Robin does the same, cuz she was like asking for comfort from Nancy in the hand hold scene).
That's just either journalistic instinct or Nancy being a bi disaster around Robin. I would like to believe it's the latter ;)
ok ok get this: max hasn't been doing so well - she needs a break - and robin notices. she decides she's gonna do something about it. she hates to see the kid unhappy, she'd stop short of nothing to cheer her up. long story short, max ends up trying to teach robin to skateboard. it goes... as well as one would expect (not well, comedically so). they both sheepishly end up going back to nancy, who patches them up and lovingly yells at them for being idiots
I love this 😂
(Pretend the end of Season 4 was Max being physically fine)
Robin gets worried when she notices Max is pulling away from everyone. She doesn't break up with Lucas or anything, she's just even quieter than she was after Starcourt, she turns down invites to hang out with the whole group ect.
So, Robin heads over to Max's one Saturday (after bullying polietly asking Steve into covering her shift).
"What're you doing here?" Max asks, suspiciously.
Robin just smirks and holds up $20 bucks. "I got paid and wanted to blow some money on junk food. Wanna join me?"
Max hesitates for a few moments, before crossing her arms. "...just you?" And Robin just nods. Max grabs her skateboard and follows her.
So they go, and they grab some burgers and Robin takes Max to the skatepark so they can sit and eat. Max is still unnervingly quiet, but she smiles and even stifles a laugh when Robin tells her about Steve faceplanting in front of Heidi the other day.
But Max still seems withdrawn, so Robin starts looking around for ideas on how to cheer her up...and of course her eyes land on the skateboard.
"Hey Max?" "Yeah?" "...do you wanna see if you can teach me to use that thing?"
Max looks down and actually laughs "You fall over on flat surfaces! If I put you on this, you might actually die!" Robin flicks her forehead with a laugh of her own. "I'm serious! Can you imagine the look on Steve's face if I learned to skateboard before him?"
So, Max agrees. And promptly almost dies laughing when Robin immediately faceplants upon stepping onto the board.
"Keep your weight balanced. No! That's gonna make you-!" Crash.
Max can barely get through instructions before breaking down laughing when Robin inevitably falls, crashes or otherwise hits the deck.
They finally give up after a little over an hour, when Max's stomach hurts from laughing and Robin almost has more bruises and scrapes than she ever got in the Upside Down.
Nancy is immensely confused when she opens her door to find a very bruised Robin (complete with a nasty looking graze on her cheek) and a still-giggling Max by her side.
"What the-?" "I tried to teach Robin to skateboard!" Max beams, "It was really funny."
Nancy just gives Robin a look as she lets them inside. The two of them get a very long lecture about safety and common sense while she cleans and dresses the nastier cuts on Robin. Max's smile doesn't drop once, especially when Nancy boops Robin's nose when telling her to be more careful.
"How did she convince you to do that anyway?" Nancy asks quietly, when Max settles down with a soda (she's been invited to movie night). Robin just smiles "She didn't, it was my idea."
"Why the hell would you suggest that?" Nancy asks, incredulously. "She hasn't stopped smiling since I did. That's why. And it was worth it" Robin beams
And Nancy sighs and kisses her cheek "Softie."
This was really cute and fun to write. Hope you liked it!
ok my first thought about ronance was "funny ship with no base in reality or canon, cool dynamic, completely made up by the fandom" BUT NOW. THINGS HAVE CHANGED. I AM A NEW WOMAN. they have so much potential. they balance eachother so well and nancy shes a modern woman she wants to do well in her career and DO WE SEE THAT HAPPENING IN HAWKINS? NO. robin wants to get out of there and go to europe or somwere far away, with new opportunities !! and thats!! exactly what nancy needs!!!!!! SHE DOESENT NEED A MAN WHO WANTS HER TO TAKE CARE OF 6 CHILDREN she needs FREEDOM, someone who appreciates her (which we know robin DOES) and i dont see either steve or jonathan being exited about anything that she does. season 3 showed jonathan just standing around her and enabling sexism in their workplace he litterally does nothing about it the whole season. HER AND ROBIN HAVE CHEMISTRY. OR ELSE THERE WOULDNT BE SO MANY PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT THEM AS A SHIP. THEY REALLY DO HAVE THE POTENTIAL IM GOING CRAZY. i want her to end up either with robin (dont really see that happening lets be real) or alone. single. no man. no man at all.
