well heās had two days totally accident free (itās been a mix of reminding him and him asking to use the potty spontaneously). so maybe we are turning a corner after like two months of off and on trying. I have no advice on potty training lol this process has been a complete mystery to me. but glad we are maybe(??) moving in the right direction

super slow day at work and as a result I spent way too much time scrolling mindlessly aaaaaa I do not feel good in my brain or body ! I will spend time with friends soon so that will feel better but then I need to think about the eveningā¦ I just got a new book I am excited to read so I think I should lock my phone away, possibly in my car so I truly canāt reach it, and read all evening after the baby goes down. I am still sitting at 4 books read for the entire year ššš but itās fine this was just my burnout winter and spring & uhh summer too I guess. and I have read hundreds of thousands of words of fic so itās not like my story-devouring mind has been completely idle. mmm ok and then tomorrow I have a bunch of meetings + prep work to do in between so hopefully it wonāt be another day like today. next week I need some strategies for filling the slow timeā¦ like if work isnāt demanding a lot of me right now thatās great enjoy the summer pace but I should be going for walks or going to the gym or reading instead of just lying in bed scrolling and periodically checking teams

my devastatingly short haircut has grown out enough to be cute. once it grows out just a tiny bit more it might even be really cute. not sure if that means the bad haircut curse is broken (since it was a really, really bad haircut at first) but... i feel hope... maybe if i just give this person more explicit instructions next time i can get a good haircut to start with

ugh my stomach is still soooo rough and I have three and a half hours of student presentations to get through on campus this afternoon ššš I am going to make a call on whether I can go by 10:30am so I can let kids know. ugh rescheduling would be such a huge pain in the ass but I think better than sprinting out of there mid presentation multiple times because Iām about to **** ** *****. but maybe Iāll feel better later in the day like I did yesterday? ughhhh ok ok itās fine. the amazing news is that itās 7:23am and the baby is still asleep
