Overview:
Koko is a very dutiful young man who loves the island he lives on and all the people in it. He often shows his love to his community though, by setting up pranks and pulling gags, to mixed reception (they can’t all be winners!). He works as a defender of his island against pirates looking to invade it, primarily using a reinforced turtle scute shield as his weapon. He boasts about never getting a scar from any of his battles “Except That One Time”. He is Pansexual/Demiromantic, half blind, and his personality type is esfp.
He is based off of the turtle nebula which is located in the constellation, Hercules. As such he is designed to be very large, muscular, and deeply passionate.
He lives on the West Island of the Archipelago that makes up his country. The cluster of five isles is in the shape of a flower ✿ like this.
Mannerisms/Way of life:
-He loves helping people. He finds when he helps others, he helps himself.
-he has a very deep connection with the moon and often talks to it at night. He relates it to feeling like he's talking to a great great grandmother of his.
-Koko is a very romantic guy, he is incredibly moved by big gestures of affection, even if it’s not involving him.
-He loves going out fishing with Mueta at night. To get Mueta to go with him to fish, he likes to call it "the night lookout" so that Mueta doesn't feel anxious about taking so much time off. The workaholic.
-Likes bragging about how back in the day, He and Mueta were the best sailors on their island, and they would've taken first prize at the All-Island competition, if the dirty cheaters from the south-east isle hadn't cheated dirty.
Where His Heart Lies:
Koko has a very. very. obvious. crush on Mueta. Everything Mueta feels, he feels himself. One of the reasons he wants to keep everyone happy is that maybe if everyone around Mueta feels safe and cared for, maybe Mueta will too one day.
His love is not urgent however. His pining has faded more into the background and has matured into simply wanting to be around him, in any form that is allowed.
Mueta:
Koko and Mueta were raised very close to each other due to their parents all being friends. He thinks of Mueta's younger brother, Barce, as his own.
When Mueta's parents were casualties from a battle on an invading pirate ship, Koko's parents immediately took in the brothers. When the he turned 18, Mueta moved out with Barce, although the younger often flips between the houses on any given day anyway.

Mueta
Overview:
Mueta is a very diligent Defender of his island and is trying to become the Captain of the defense force of his island. Ever since the previous captain passed in battle, the island has been out of sorts which makes him very angry.
That makes him angry, the slowness of the counsel choosing the next Captain makes him angry, their unwillingness to make him Captain makes him angry. Everything that is happening is always making him angry. Which is probably why he isn't the Leader yet.
Mueta has anger issues, anxiety issues, obsessive issues, etc etc. He knows he shouldn’t be in a relationship, but he is Demiromantic/demisexual if he would try.
Mueta is based off of the Jellyfish Nebula. His name is based off of the nebula's position, between eta geminorum and mu geminorum, and I just mashed "eta" and "mu” together for Mueta!

Mannerisms/Way of Life:
-Mueta gets ~very~ mad when people don't meet his expectations that he always sets sky high. The only person that meets his expectations every time is his little brother, Barce.
-Koko, his childhood best friend, doesn't always meet his expectations, but he doesn't get too overly mad at him about it. Koko understands Mueta's expectations, but unlike everyone else, he's not afraid to tell Mueta that what he expects of him is too much. This gets koko in hot water with him sometimes, but most times if it’s gotten to the point that he’s bringing it up, it tends to be valid.
-He tends to be physical with people not doing what he needs them to. It’s not enough to do lasting damage, but it’s still a problem.
-His high expectations are not just for other people, they're for objects as well. He has a dedicated window for throwing shit out of. Barce is never too happy when he has to get out of his house and walk down a hill to get any forks though.
-He is very very very very very very dedicated to his island. It is difficult for him to be where he cant overlook the horizon. Being unable to keep watch for pirates makes him very very anxious.
-He hardly takes any time off, which leads Koko to kidnap him sometimes.
-Mueta likes to embroider things when he keeps watch.
-His favorite food is shrimp, but often he forgets to eat.
-He loves his little brother very much and really is the only loving outlet he lets himself have. He dotes on Barce very heavily, much to the younger's dismay.
Where His Heart Lies:
Ever since his Parents passed, he's desperately wanted to create an island that can be safe for his beloved little brother. He’s so mean/aggressive with those he is meant to work with because he is, at his core, scared. One little slip up or over sight could spell disaster for those he loves and nothing scares him more.
This is something the people of his village more or less depends on him for though. Though the methods are often painful, the job gets done and the people are safe.
Koko:
Koko and Mueta were raised very close to each other due to their parents all being friends. Koko's parents took him and his little brother in when he was Orphaned and he feels he can never repay them enough. Koko means a great deal to him even if he doesn’t have as much time for him anymore.
Barce:
Mueta’s parents had extensive issues trying to have children, but they never stopped trying. So when Barce finally came after 10 years of Mueta watching them go through some agonizing miscarriages, he was truly his miracle child too. Their parents are gone now, but that just means he gets to love him enough to make up for their absences!

There came once two siblings, as the moon still and sun brighter, but all stars must die and in her eyes-- too soon.
But children, they were, and with her plea to a deity, the young sister of the dead boy came; bring my sun back to me, for I cannot live without that warmth upon my skin and heart. I want my brother back, and I will do whatever you need.
The deity told the girl of the illness that ransacked and ravaged that land in a prior 200 years to her present, something that should have never effected the youth of now, yet it came for him ever still. A residue of a war they never were to be apart of, or intended rather, for there now came yet another casualty.
Oh what could the girl do, she wailed, and the deity took those tears to heart. In the anguish of those fallen tears, came her wish fulfilled-- The Spirit of Health was born.
Even as this spirit, the girl could do little to nothing, her aid not helping this illness that crept and crawled upon his very bone, like vine upon a trellis. So, with another bout of pleas, she came to the god, who listened, and for a second time, granted that same wish in a different form-- The Spirit of Death was born.
That too failed, even able to bend his life into the route she wanted, the river still flowed the same. That limbo she stuck him in, it was no life, so she, for a third and final try, lamented to the deity, who took a final pity upon them, for there could be no other aid to offer.
The girl had a familiar, a grand bird of mighty wing, with the property to carry on through death, to bounce back and perch once more to her being. The girl and her savior plotted, creating a plan to be fulfilled before the first arrow came flying over the castle walls. To use the host, her own beast, as a conduit for the ceaseless, hungering rot that revenged her brother. Feed it pieces, subject and inflict, a loveless pet in deed. That solution could not utterly cure. In 20 years time, her familiar's body would expel the illness and produce that desired ichor, however she would not be with the bird long enough for that desire to come and pass.
A thankless act, that deities work, for soon there came a plot upon them. The girl and her waxing sun, not they but a HE, a masculine force far beyond their doing. Her failure of courtship, an ex lover perhaps, he came all the same; it came time to hatch a plot. To usurp a kingdom, to kill a being far beyond the flesh and human bone, to end a deity that once held itself upon the little girl, now woman's heart; it came time to end all of that rot, and pain. A bird flies, a woman weeps, and the suggestions of a ruin stand still now. There came no aid for that diety, no wishes granted, who was to listen to their plea but the ever roaring silence of an unwavering throne.
Oh sun, oh moon, oh stars above, bear witness to blessings each. To find that cure, that fluttering hope— where is thy bird now, oh sister of mine.

Doc is a No Bullshit doctor who has the ability to heal all non-magical illnesses and wounds. She travels to find a cure to her brother's illness and her bird, whichever comes first for now.
She took a graft of his skin when she left, she keeps it alive with her powers, and its her most treasured possession.

Busk is an inventive musician who possesses the ability to control the dead. He really doesn't utilize his abilities all that much though and chooses instead to spend his time playing music, inventing instruments (of the musical or mass destruction varieties, and doing drugs. Often in sequence of each other.
He used to have a pet cow that passed away and now he wears her skull on his head in connection to her. He does not dare to reanimate her body because that wouldn't be her, that would just be him controlling her remains.

Kendle has fire powers and is one of the most intense people in the world. She is incapable of keeping a relationship. She can hold her breath for half an hour. She is very fast. She collects handmade children's toys and to keep them from falling off the shelves she just nails them into the wall.
She and Elara are ex's and are currently in their divorce arc, Kendle is very jealous of Elara's cool cape but of course she'd never say that and give Elara the satisfaction.
Kendle exists outside the law, if you can imagine it, and is referred to as Kendle the Monarch.
Elara:
Elara possesses the powers of reflection and can turn invisible or change her form to reflect someone she can see or remember.
Elara loves to host parties and often loves to read her favorite book series "How to Throw the Perfect Party" and owns all 100+ additions.
Despite her love of parties though, she otherwise is a relatively private person. She usually just keeps to her close inner circle.

Absolutely blasted through all the manga in 2 days following the last episode of the season’s release. These two are actually insane. I hope they get the opportunity to kiss forever. I bless this union.
