Note: I realized a while back that the dark things on her right arm in og re5 are not tattoos, they’re another arm band, but screw it. Black band tattoos are often used to represent mourning of a loved one, so it’s now a tattoo that represents the loss of her mom, dad, and hometown.

“What're you doing crying like that?” He asks as he unties your shoe. The heel of your shoe perches on top of his knee as he pulls it out of the neat little knot he made earlier.
Jack looks up at you, frowning slightly seeing the tears bubble up in your eyes. He gets up, putting your shoes off to the side. He walks back, sitting next to you on the couch.
“It's not like I died or anything. Cut it with the waterworks for me, please?” He asks, his voice softens as he speaks to you. Jack pulls you into his lap, his larger hands cup your waist. He didn't like seeing you cry.
Jack honestly didn't expect you to cry after hearing what he did on his latest mission. Did he tell you too much? Was he too graphic about his injuries? He came back in one piece, that's all that mattered to you, right? He's lost in his own thoughts as he holds you close, one of his hands cradles your head gently. Close. That's what he felt, right now, literally and figuratively.
Jack didn't like crying. All his years spent in the military left him unable to react much to it. He's seen rookies do it on their first days of camp. He'd grown used to it over the years.
But it was different for you. You taught him how to be soft. How to be gentle.
His eyes soften, the almost permanent furrowing on his brows droop as he looks at you. He couldn't really make sense of what you were saying as you cried over him. You shouldn't be crying over him, but you did anyway.
You were a self-proclaimed crybaby. You told Jack that on your first date. Teased for being one when you were a kid, still the same snot nosed babbling one you were now with the way your lip quivered as you cried in his lap. He's grown used to you crying, even if it catches him off guard at times.
What he could make out though were the words “You could've died!” Through shakey, almost shrill to the ears' breath. He can hear the stutter in your voice, behind those incoherent words. You always did that when you cried.
He doesn't really know what to do, what to say. He wants you to feel better. Jack wasn't really the best with words outside of the field. He was trying, trying to be better for you.
You were both there for each other. That's all that mattered.
Instead, he opts to pull you in closer for a hug. Hug you close to him, to his heart. Actions speak louder than words, right? He could feel your tears staining his shirt, but that didn't matter. What did matter was that he was there. That you were there.

I used a faceclaim 😓😓 but she came from a one night stand when Chris was like 23 LOL and was born in 1997, a year prior to the events in the mansion. She prioritizes her school but really likes to game and is often longing for her dad when he’s away on missions :(
This is just me going nuts but. what if Chris is slowly becoming like Wesker? Not evil and tyrannical but … isolated. Fully distrustful of anyone and anything. He starts thinking that he’s the only one can save people… because ahah else is there to do at this point? He’s got so much blood on his hands too…
LEON : a character's moral compass that was affected by an objectively moral entity ( since technically speaking human law and religious law are interconnected through the basis of morality ) -> later goes on to be manipulated by a subjectively morally influenced institution ( corrupted government )
WESKER : a character's moral compass that was affected by entirely subjective institutions ( spencer / umbrella ) -> works towards obtaining an objective viewpoint ( wants to become God himself )
Both presumed to have been incapacitated in terms of free will at some point in their timeline ( just got my hands on some new info about wekser that could allude to that fact )
-> both got put on a leash by an outside force, we've seen wesker attempt to reclaim back his free will, but i think what fans are also rooting for is for leon to fight back as well, turn on the government , revolt, i don't know dude, do something, explode !
