Our lives did not turn upside down today. And it could, anytime; I know Immunity doesn't exist in matters of the heart. Even as you struggled With all that water surrounding you When you left, You brought back This rose to me, All was right as it rained. To say I am relieved We aren't hanging Would be trite and unfair To those that are looking, Now living in some other dimension that an hour ago Didn't exist for them either. I will take this Pass though, And hold fast, just not too tight; Quickly letting it go So we can again breathe And take in What before We wanted to yank out.
