This had started so completely normal and without responsibilities. Well besides food. Sloy he has moved through the crowded streets, passing by streams of people that left him alone (fortunately). With his head sunk and looking at the shoes before him he turned the corner.
He felt something touch his shoulder. A short pressure, looking into the eyes of a girl who looked confused. Normally if things like these happened, both would fly right onto their backside. Now they just stood there shoulder on shoulder, before Lekkur made a step to the side and kept walking.
Taking a breath he stomped onto the ground, the noise of his sole smashing ineffectively against the concrete startled a few of the passersby. Like he should care. Their eyes on him he kept walking quickly, trying to get away before somebody was going to ask him any questions about what the hell just happened. Still, somehow he could not shake the feeling of something or someone looking at him, drilling its gaze into his neck.
Just as he was about to turn the next corner again he could feel a hand grasp his shoulder, making him stop right in his track, turning around quickly. A girl stood in front of him, her eyes looking at him as if she was trying to burn a hole through his head by the sheer power of her will alone, flipping her blonde locks from out of her face she asked with a pressed voice: “What’s your name?”
For a moment he just stood there and looked at her, prompting her to repeat herself. “What’s your name?” This time she was way more pushy, obviously disliking that he seemingly did not answer before he mumbled lowly. “Lekkur...” he mumbled before suddenly having her hand around her wrist, dragging her with him.
“What are you and where do you come from?” She asked as she was pulling him through the masses of crowds that split right in front of her, while he tried his hardest to not absorb the force that was making him go with her. It seemed like pissing her off would not end well.
“I don’t know what... why do you want to know?” He asked, immediately regretting this decision. The last thing he wanted, was her screaming at him and by the look she shot over her shoulder she was about to scream at him. “Doesn’t matter, just keep coming.” She grumbled.
And after that it was surprisingly calm as she here and there turned back to him and stared for a moment with that nagging feeling that somebody tried to drill a hole into his neck.
Finally after twenty minutes of not talking, of just those stares and the pressure that made him just wanna melt into the ground and somehow get away and maybe even just stop her in her tracks and run away, they stopped right in front of a skyscrapper.
“How do you do that?”
“Do what?”
“Don’t play foolish! I try to see in your head the whole time and it’s like total radio silence... you cannot possibly that dumb.” She growled those words, Lekkur was intimidated.
“I-i... I don’t... actually... wasn’t doing anything.” He said absolutely confused as she stepped closer looking him right into his eyes, intently staring him down, while the teenager, leaned back a little bit, the fear in his eyes quite obvious.
“Well...” the blonde began quietly. “... if I can keep my mind on you, I gonna keep my eye on you. Come with me.” Once again she grabbed his wrist, this time leaving her just suddenly losing any momentum of her movement, before Lekkur realised what was going on, coming with her into this strange building, where a robotic voice greeted them with:
“Welcome to the Hero HQ!”
