[Spotlight notices Khann in the distance and immediately charges straight for him]
Trinn, Pierre! You two deal with Khann’s soldiers! I HAVE A TYRANT TO DETHRONE!!
[Offensive 1D15]
[Result: 11]
@crust-king-khann-official
Khann barely reacts to Spotlight lunging at him, using his guard...
But Khann rolled an 8, taking 1 damage! 5/6 health remaining.
Quite the bold one. But you'll fall like all the bold ones before you.
Khann used 2d11, rolling a 19!
[Spotlight quickly tries to parry it]

[Spotlight was too late and gets knocked back. However, they made sure to stay on their feet. They refused to fall. Not after getting this far!]
Good… He isn’t holding any punches.
[Quickly, they summon a flame in their hand and slams it into the ground, creating a pillar of flames]
[Offensive 1D15 + Fire Spell 1D6]

Khann attempts to push through the fire, but apparently forgot that fire is in fact hot.

Gah! Fffuck! You're not defeating me so easily!

[Spotlight, still on the other side of the battle field, charges towards Khann]
[Offensive 1D15]
[Result: 14]
[Just as Spotlight was about to hit, they noticed something. Khann was already guarding! Quickly, Spotlight misses on purpose. They weren’t taking any chances if Khann was preparing something]
[Thinking Khann was about to do something, they ready their nail for a parry]
[Defensive Parry 1D20]
[Result: 17]
Khann uses 3d9, acting faster than he can react and rolling an 18! He strikes Spotlight with incredible force, dealing 2 damage, but taking 1 damage from the Counter! 3/6 health remaining.
Hahaha! Impressive, but NOT FOR LONG!
Khann is readying a powerful skill... Khann uses 2d20, rolling an 18!!
[HP: 3/6]
[Spotlight begins breathing heavily as they stagger from the previous hit. They stand back up and see Khann readying an attack. Quickly they manage to summon a flame]
[As Spotlight summons a flame in their claw, their body—their exoskeleton—begins to shine a bright orange that slowly leads to their nail wielding hand. They were focusing the flame into their nail]
[Offensive 1D15 + Fire Spell 1D6]
[Result: 19!!]
[Spotlight clashes their nail against Khann’s attack and eventually overpowers him]
[After the clash, Spotlight readies their nail once more in anticipation]
[Defensive Parry 1D20]
[Result: 20!!]
Khann grows silent as his focus rises.
Khann uses 2d11, rolling a 19 and dealing 1 damage to Spotlight, but taking 2 damage in return. 1/6 health remaining.
Khann uses 2d11, rolling an 8.
[Spotlight quickly readies their nail once more]
[Defensive Parry 1D20]
[Result: 11]
[HP: 1/6]
[Spotlight winces in pain]
<Now’s your chance! End it!>
[Spotlight hesitates for a moment before striking Khann]
Khann's shell cracks, and he falls to the ground, kneeling. ...And laughing?
The shell armor he wore sloughed off his body, and he rose back to his legs.
5/5 Health remaining.
What. A. Fool. Now look at you; weak, defenseless...
Khann walks over, looming over Spotlight, who's bent over in pain. His claw rises, ready to deal the finishing blow...
Khann uses 1d15, and rolls a 15!
FLICK THE FIXER?!
I got better!
Flick hops off of the building's edge, landing cleanly on the ground.
It ain't over yet, is it now?
Flick tosses Spotlight a bottle of nectar.
'Ere, drink up. Should patch those wounds o' yer's up better than I could! Gya ha ha!
@spotlight-the-performer art by @floohy
[Spotlight catches the nectar and immediately drinks it before standing back up]
[HP: 6/6]
Thank you…
[Spotlight readies their nail as a dark, fiery red flame appeared in their eyes. They were rejuvenated and ready!]
Khann braces for the fight ahead, and uses 2d11 on Spotlight, and 3d10 on Flick, rolling a 5 and 15 respectively!
Flick used Hammer Spin: 2d19, rolling a 24 and dealing 2 damage to Khann! 3/5 health remaining.
Aye, just like the good old days, ain't it?
Khann: SHUT UP!!
@spotlight-the-performer
[Spotlight rushes in as they focus a flame into their nail, their exoskeleton once more shining. But not a bright orange. It shined a dark, fiery red like their eyes currently. Nail deals two damage this turn]
[Offensive 1D15 + Fire Spell 1D6]
[Result: 12]
Khann takes 2 damage! 1/5 health remaining.
*cough, cough* ...You... YOU UNDEAD BASTARD!
Khann seems too weak to act!
Wrong about that one Khann, I'm just old!
Flick turns to Spotlight, a smile clear in his eyes.
Aye, mind if I deal the finishin' blow, or would you like the honors?
@spotlight-the-performer
[Spotlight nods before slowly walking towards Khann, their nail ready to strike]
[Offensive 1D15]
[Result: 15…0]
[They go to strike, but they stop right at Khann’s neck]
…I refuse to kill Khann. Instead…
[Spotlight turns around, the fire in their eyes being replaced by nothing but void]
We are allowing him to repent.
[As they spoke, it sounded as if two were speaking at the same time. And they both spoke with the same conviction]
We believe Khann doesn’t deserve death as long as he repents.
Khann huffs and growls, before lunging at Spotlight, throwing all his mass into one last attack, one that he won't miss!
Khann used Brutalize: 1d21, and rolled a 21!
Flick pushes Spotlight out of the way, and slams his hammer into Khann's mask with all his might!
Flick rolled a 30! Khann took 2 damage, and is now down!
Shadows leak from the crack in his mask.
What in the...?
@spotlight-the-performer
[Spotlight falls to the ground before going to stand up. Then they saw it. V o i d . ]
[Almost immediately they back away before getting closer]
…So this entire time, Khann was controlled by void?
[Spotlight slowly reaches out to Khann’s body before immediately pulling their arm back]
………
The void rises up, coalescing in a ball and molding itself into a new form, swirling dark becomes legs, arms, a torso, and finally a head.
It stares down at Spotlight and Flick with distain.
Our plan... has failed...
very well then. we will shift our focus.
Your Land Will Be Claimed, Sooner Or Later.
IT IS NOT. OVER YET.
we will claim our keep.
Then, it fades back into the ground, melting into a puddle and melding through the solid ground.
This will surely be a problem.
