I Am A Fat Girl
I am a fat girl. I am fat. I have been the victim of bullying nearly all of my life, either because of my size, or some other thing about me that someone hasn't liked. Just this last weekend I was drunkenly insulted by someone who was later defended by my friends. No matter how small the cut, it's still a wound and wounds hurt. You can only love yourself and lift yourself up so much before things take their toll on you. Even memories. The worst insults I ever took were from someone I loved through and through. Someone I would have died for made me feel less than. Made me feel inferior. When someone you love deeply tells you you're fat, unattractive, worthless, etc., those wounds leave the biggest scars.
Think about the things you say to people. Think about the way you're talking to someone. You never know how your words will impact their actual soul. We might not like everyone. We might love people but dislike things about them. Our job is not to point these things out or make them feel like shit because of them. We should lift. We should inspire. We should be a better definition of human.
