corviknight was harder to draw than i thought it would be
when it comes to writing, practice is so underrated. idc how talented you are. at the beginning your stories will be cringey, dramatic, exaggerated, boring, too fast-paced, too slow-paced, too stereotypical, too far-fetched, whatever. at the beginning you‘ll write what you read and it will be just another fic about a nerd falling in love with a bad boy (just an example), the characters feel copied, so does the plot and you really tried with the plot twist but it didn‘t work.
everyone goes through that state. i‘ve never met anyone who didn‘t. the only difference is how long it takes for you to overcome it. your writing will improve with every minute of practice and at some point reach that mark where it‘s your own writing. it‘s not cringey anymore. it‘s unique (no matter how many tropes you included) and creative. it still needs improvement, hell it always will, but now it‘s your work, it‘s mature and it‘s good.
now, idk what makes the difference when it comes to the required amount of practice. maybe here’s where the talent shows. maybe the reason it took me ten years to reach that point was bc I was passionate but not talented. doesn‘t matter. everyone experiences that first state and it‘s okay. don‘t give up just yet, even if you feel like your writing is cringey. keep writing. at some point you‘ll find your own style and what you need to do in order for it to sound mature. hang on there. you don‘t need any talent in order to be a good writer
My portrait series of the Pevensie siblings from The Chronicles of Narnia! These books were foundational for me. I’ve wanted to paint how I envisioned them as grown ups for a long time.

letting a traumatized character have their happy ending where they can recover from their trauma will always be a thousand times more powerful than killing them off for shock value
bold of me to constantly use the phrase “no worries!” when I am, in fact, constantly full of many worries
Acceptance
My mom “accepts me”, but she “knows I only chose to be bisexual so I didn’t have to break up with my girlfriend when she started transition.”
My dad “accepts me” but often reminds me that “monogamy is important no matter who you’re attracted to” because bi girls are more likely to cheat.
My girlfriend’s mom “accepts her” but won’t use her chosen name and only uses the right pronouns half the time.
My pan friend’s mom “accepts her” but still calls her girlfriend her “best friend” because she “knows my friend will find the right boy someday”
A gay guy I met in class has parents that “accept him” but when he said he was being bullied for his sexuality said that “he should just be less public about it.”
None of us have been kicked out. We still talk to our parents. They give us food and clothes and help pay college tuition. They haven’t threatened to kill us. They haven’t actually killed us.
They “accept us”
But no they don’t.
Not kicking your kid out/not murdering them cannot be the standard of acceptance. It’s not accepting. It’s almost nothing.
If you want to be a wonderful accepting parent to a LGBTQ+ kid, you have to listen to what they say and trust them. You have to do your research and understand that this is who they are and it’s not up to them. You have to do anything you can to make their lives easier because the rest of the world is already going to make them go through hell.
And if you’re not ready to trust your kid and love them no matter what, don’t call yourself progressive or accepting.
You’re just a dick.

It’s okay to hate a character. What isn’t okay is to:
> force everybody else to hate said character
> humiliate and degrade someone who loves/likes the character you hate
> pushing how problematic said character is to a person who loves/likes them or just really neutral about them
> pushing everybody else to hate a person who likes/loves said character
> forcing a person to say that they’re actually problematic for liking/loving an apparently problematic character

I’ve compiled every raw ass quote from tumblr shitposts into my phone and i’m gonna use every single one of them in my campaign at some point.
peruse my quotes, if u want
So I recently got a wealth of new quotes to add to the list, thanks to @gayotic-stupid ! DISCLAIMER: Very few of these are from tumblr shit posts. Like my previous reblog, some of these are just cool quotes you can use in your writing or your dnd campaign. Reblog away!

“I know you’ve all heard talk of being the emperor’s chosen and heroes of the Imperium, but the truth is, you are essentially nothing to this Imperium. You’re farmers, workers, and criminals, picked to be a part of the most expendable force known to man. You will be sent into battle. You will be sent often. Many of you will die, and you will die often. I do not expect you to like it, but I am asking that you accept this and make your peace with it.
My father taught me as a child that if you shoot for the moon and miss, the cold vacuum of space will suck out your eyeballs. Failure is not an option. Go kill them.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
You are alone, child. There is only darkness for you, and only death for your people. These ancients are just the beginning. I will command a great and terrible army, and we will sail to a billion worlds. We will sail until every light has been extinguished. You are strong, child, but I am beyond strength. I am the end, and I have come for you.
To feel sorrow is to deserve peace.

Oh hey I haven’t yelled about voting in a while
I have, and I will continue to. It’s not as intimidating as you think to start learning about your local- and not so local- representation. Especially if you start early. Like…now. Now’s a good time. Wait, have you had dinner yet? Go have dinner first, THEN start reading up on the directions the future of our country could possibly go, and what route you’d prefer to see it take.
Go out and make your voices heard!!!! And what’s the nest way to do that?! BY GOING OUT TO VOTE!!!!!
I try to keep my content pretty strictly dnd related, but this is super important!
