what  was  your  character’s  life  like  in  2024 ?

Her life is a bit of a mess, to be completely honest. There isn’t much that can throw her off. The Red Room made sure of it. However, the news of her (adoptive) sister has completely thrown her off balance. 

does  your  character  have  any  memories  from  2024  or  their  past  ?

Yelena remembers everything and for once, she hates having the upper hand. She remembers disappearing, coming back after what felt like mere seconds and realizing that she lost five years of her life. She remembers exactly how she felt when she came back and realized that Natasha was dead. Dread, guilt, anger. The thirst for revenge. 

what  are  they  doing  in  the  year  2012  ?

For once, Yelena is trying to live a normal life. Whatever normal means. She doesn’t know. She still does work on the side for the highest bidders, but she also bartends at the sketchiest bar in town. That’s what normal people do, right? She has a run down apartment. A ‘normal’ job. She’s even looking into getting a dog or a cat. Of course, she can’t live a boring, normal life for long before getting restless.

location: stark expo, latverian embassy showcase

giving the variety of latverian exports a once over, natasha raises an eyebrow, wondering if anyone here would even be half as interested if they knew the contents of just the redacted files on latveria she has access to. she feigns interest, though, not wanting to stick out, not when––ah. especially not when one of her targets is within their line of vision.

natasha weaves their way over, fakes a trip and a stumble. placing her hand on the mark’s shoulder to steady themself, natasha lets out a practised clumsy laugh. “oh jeez, i’m such a klutz! so sorry uh…”

Yelena wasn’t sure why she’d decided to attend the Stark Expo. It truthfully felt like it was just a bunch of rich people showing off their toys. Boring. It would have been a bit more tolerable if she’d accepted the last job that had been offered to her. She was kicking herself now. Why had she wanted to pretend like she had a normal life again? A normal life had been ripped away from her, but that didn’t mean that she was meant for one. Normal people seemed so boring. 

The blonde yawned as she stalked about the Latverian showcase, nothing of note taking her notice. Yelena tried not to laugh when Natasha made a spectacle of herself in the means of being subtle. “Subtlety isn’t one of your strong suits, is it?” Yelena asked bluntly, the ghost of a smirk on her face. Natasha may have been able to pull one over on anyone else, but never Yelena.
