Interview with Stuart Garner On the Reincarnation of Norton Motorcycles and ‘NortonGate’
Hell for Leather is reporting that all is not well at the new Norton Motorcycles despite Stuart Garners very public campaign to demonstrate the vitality of his effort to revive the iconic brand. The HFL story originated with a piece from BikerGlory, and it includes some serious allegations. We thought it might be a good idea to check out what the majordomo at Norton has to say about the issues raised in the most recent stories about the health his company. As you might guess, Mr. Garner begs to differ with the conclusions drawn by some critics on the web and in the British motorcycle building fraternity.
Garner took the time to answer some of the bombs thrown his way recently by firing back at the naysayers in this exclusive QA with Motorcycleinsurance.com: The critics are saying Norton Motorcycles has consistently failed to fill orders on time and there have been problems with holding deposits. Any truth to those criticisms? SG: In the last two years we have delivered many ...

An Old School Harley You Can Ride – Motorcycle Find of the Day
Charlie Stockwell designs and builds custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles for Warr’s Harley-Davidson in London, England. Stockwell has been behind the cool bikes coming out of Warr’s since 1996.
My aim was and and still is to bring together and celebrate the creative culture and lifestyle in hand built custom motorcycles.
Japanese clothing maker Evisu commissioned Stockwell and Warr’s of London to hand build a classically-inspired Harley-Davidson, and this inspiring machine, Stockwells Kamome Sprinter, drops a vintage style on top of a rideable, modern functionality. The eye for detail Stockwell applies to this custom bike is, in a word, spectacular. The engine, gas tank, handlebars and fenders are all polished and nickel-plated.

A Well Preserved Body – The Bikeriders
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a Ride!’

How To Wash A Train With A Motorcycle
They (and it’s never clear who ‘they’ are at any given moment) say that necessity is the mother of invention – and it’s hard to find a coin-operated bay large enough to wash a train – so this rider found a way to clean up a dirty train.
You can only hope that none of the commuters on the train had their window open as they passed over this particular bridge.
A sudden splash of river water is a sure way to ruin your morning latte and render your New York Times unreadable.

It was 1937, and Hillclimb racing was a top attraction.
A brutal physical test, riders drew huge crowds and provided exciting theater in a series of race which pitted man against the machine – and the mountain.
In this image, Harold Seamans, racing for Harley-Davidson, took his 80 cubic inch bike to the top of Mt. Garfield in Muskegon, Michigan to win the Class B National Hillclimb Championship.
Featured in the September 1937 issue of The Enthusiast, this photo was one of many which captured the imagination of riders and non-riders alike. The battles riders li...
