Back from a few days up north in Durham, visiting family and friends. Whilst up there I took the opportunity to visit Neil and the team at www.geneticsupplements.co.uk based in Consett. Genetic Supplements is a fairly new company in the supplement industry and do things a little differently from the other big companies out there. Although Neil is an incredibly busy man he found around 2hrs of his day to talk to me. From the outset you can tell Neil is passionate, not only about the company, but about the products and what they stand for. His work ethic and morals shine through even more when he starts talking about the new product range and brand re-launch that’s happening soon. He told me about the why and where the company has came from and where it is going. He did whilst showing me round the superb new factory/warehouse that they’ve just built. And it is built, as the the Genetic team have recently moved into new premises (which was an empty shell 2 months ago) where they will be mixing and producing there products all in house. The facility is like a science lab, which you would expect after talking to Neil and grasping his attention to detail, it’s clean, has defined areas for the different stages of the production process and he even made me wear those silly blue over shoes for the tour. We then sat and talked on a number of topics, including the new website which I saw a preview of. It’s a big change from the current format and looks great with smooth navigation and clear product ranges. And I must say the man is an inspiration, I have already started thinking about my business in a different light. To be honest, the time flew by and before I knew it it was time for me to go. I purchased some essentials and left Neil heading straight to the phone to talk product development.
