I never understood how parrots can speak. If they can speak then I’m positive other animals can too, they just don’t show it to us.

They can't actually talk, bud. They just mimic sounds they hear. They do that because they aren't stupid like most animals, and know that us humans are basically going to be their "flock" --- which they want to sound similar to so that they're a part of something. They also change their vocal cords to make different sounds.
