Chicago Cop Kills Black Woman And Resigns Only 4 Years Later

Chicago officer Dante Servin, who fatally shot Rekia Boyd in 2012, resigns two days before he was to be fired.

22 year-old Rekia Boyd was shot by an off-duty officer on March 21, 2012 for walking and chatting with her friends. She and her friends were having a good time , laughing and talking , when an officer without his uniform told them to be quiet. Moments after that shots were fired, because as an officer said he saw a gun pointed at him. Only cell phone was found on the scene…

Servin was charged with involuntary manslaughter, but a year later, a judge Dennis Porter acquitted him from all charges.

The Chicago police board over the week announced that Servin had resigned two days before the board could decide whether to fire him or not.

As the system shows us, police officer had a right to kill an unarmed person, to lie about what happened , to continue serve at the police and eventually he decided to leave the force just before he was to be fired…He didn’t pay for what he has done and that is what we call justice. He deserves to be in prison.
