I love the way your draw Rin’s markings all over her body. Do you have any headcanons what they are? Seals? Paint? Tattoos? Clan markings?

In my hc, these are tattoos with encapsulated chakra storage capacity. Think of Byakugo, but is a way around? An alternative? It allows her for better control during genjutsu techniques, as well as a boost for any medical healing she's performing. She wasn't a student of Tsunade, hence an alternative way. She tattooed most of it herself, Kurenai had to help areas where Rin couldn't reach.

When using these chakra reserves, the tattoos glow. One caveat: she sometimes fails to control this technique, and the glowing activates when Rin experiences strong emotions (anger, happiness, arousal). This always entertains Kakashi, hence their fights never last long (and ther sex is always tinted with a shade of lavender).

what kind of character / personality do you think rin could have been if she had lived?

She hides her pain behind the smile. A bit short tempered, especially when it comes to people risking their life for not much reason. Likes to publicly express her affection. Likes how it makes Kakashi uncomfortable even more. Alcohol is not her best friend. Sometimes anxiety gets the better of her.
