Snail on lilacs 💜

I recently took up embroidery and stitched on my jean jacket pockets some lavender and some mushrooms + a frog (his name is todd)! I’m still new at it and only know a few stitch types, but I’m having fun learning!

This is the face of a frog that has seen things; not a lot of things, considering they’ve spent most their life in the dirt, but at least one or two things. This western spadefoot toad [Spea hammobdii] was spotted emerging from the soil in Santa Barbara county, California, by Spencer Dybdahl Riffle.

The montane large-eyed litter frog  [Leptobrachium montanum] is a species complex endemic to Borneo. These small frogs reach a maximum of 2.5 inches in length, with their tadpoles often exceeding their adult form at 2.8 inches in length or more.
