× I drew this quite a while ago, but I wanted to show off my Buckzo family redesigns.

× This might be a long post cuz I wanna talk about their differences and similarities with one another

× You can tell these are unfinished and meant to be rendered because of how their eyes are not detailed apart from Barbies, including the weird white lines around the black bits around their horns and spikes-- And the fact that... Barb doesnt have HER spikes drawn in... (I got pretty tired...)

× I know these arent technically a continuation of my Helluva redesigns compilation like I did with the I.M.P crew aswell as my Verosika and Barbie design one-- Because I was supposed to be doing Stolas, Via, Stella and MAYBE Andrealphus and Vassago...

× Buuuut I guess those are still pretty much a work in progress.

So, when it comes to differences and similarities, I wanted the twins to look quite different and nonidentical from each other. That is partly due to self-projection, but it's strongly because I wanted to stow away from the idea that Barbie is just female Blitz...

I find that this fandom, especially since Barbie's new short came out, that there's always these kind of comments bein thrown around such as " Barbie is just Blitz with tits " Or " Barb is just like her brother ". And while they do have similarities with their personality, as a twin myself-- It can be severely jarring when people don't treat us like we're our own people, EVEN if we actually do NOT look alike whatsoever.

We may have similar interests, we may have similar quirks, but we aren't the same person-- And it baffles me that even as a nonidentical twin, its happens no matter what as soon as people learn we're related. Blitz is his own person, Barbie is her own person, and her extraordinary character shouldn't fully be chalked down to " JUST Blitz's twin sister " Or as a way worse way to put it " Just Blitz with tits". To me, it just somewhat feels like its rooted in misogyny in some way...

Perhaps its not the fandom's fault for interpreting it as such because Viv doesn't necessarily do a good job at making Barb seem like her own character with her own personality, and just straight up made her a copy paste of Blitz. Which is why I'm sharing this kind of opinion, in hopes that maybe if someone ends up agreeing with me, or already has the same opinion as me! Either way, this is also just for fun. And also because I love Barbie Wire.

That being said, I made Blitz look more like their dad, and Barbie more like their mum-- But still somewhat have features to the opposite parent they look more similar too. For example, canonically, Viv has already done that: In Cash's design, you can see he has black coloured claws, and Barbie has the same feature! I quite like those kind of details I just like the idea of Blitz and Barb being a mish-mash of both their parents combined. And also because I think it'd be angsty if both twins both have a reminder of their horrible father every time they look at themselves in the mirror. -- Blitz has their mum's eye colour, while Barb has their fathers. -- Both twins inherited their horns being curled, like their fathers, except Barb's is way more curled than both Blitz's and Cash's. -- They also both inherited Cash's crooked teeth before getting braces! -- Like Cash, they both have some sort of snout. Cash and Blitz, however, have a way more lizard-like build, and Barbie's face has a way more-- I guess softer / rounded face (?) I wanted to make her more like a lamb! Representing how she gets that softness from her mother! -- Blitz, Barb, Cash all have spikes, except they get progressively less and smaller, Barb's having less and smaller ones, to Cash having much bigger and more spikes on his body. Blitz sits somewhere in between. -- Blitz inherits his dad's skin tone, meanwhile Barb gets her Tilla's. -- Barbie and Tilla both share a mole, right above their lips! -- They also share a love for jewelry and piercings together.

Cash's design hasn't changed much other than some tinkering here and there with regards to his teeth, horns, eyes and a bit more facial hair. His design to me wasn't exactly an issue-- I guess? In my head, I'd had made his outfit look more like a broke ring master. Looking at his canon design, on its own... It just doesn't scream circus owner to me that much??? His personality is pretty much the same. Shitty father.

With Tilla's canon design, I found it to be quite boring. I heard people got the idea that she was a fortune teller of some sorts in the circus, and I loved that idea quite a lot. I like the idea of everyone in the circus having different roles; Tilla being a fortune teller, Cash a ringmaster, Blitz originally had a comedy act with his sister, but then moved Barbie to do more physical entertainment, such as trapeze, hoop acts and stuff like that because " She has the body " for it. Blitz soon never liked doing comedy acts on his own, he felt more confident doing it with Barbie. Over time, they felt like his acts were just there to humiliate him-- Unfortunately, Cash intentionally did sort of push that on.

To make more profit, he would push acts too far, such as allowing the audience to throw shit at him as entertainment. For Barbie, he would force to include more dangerous acts, like involving fire, or stuff like barbed wire to make it more " Thrilling ". Hence why that's how I think Barbie sort of got her stage name: Barbie Wire. I think thats also why she managed to come out of that fire during the accident a little bit more unscathed.

— × I dunno I feel if I let my fingers move freely, I will be writing non-stop about her, so I'll TRY and keep it short.

— × Most of the additions I added are RIGHT THERE in the drawing wahhhhhh

— × I know that she's probably meant to be clean and everything but theres something nagging me in the back of my brain saying that she wasn't being entirely truthful. I probably misinterpreted it wrong but she said that she wasn't back on H-8, but she was still on heroin. Since Blitz claimed that it " barley clears a headache " I'm assuming heroin isn't even much of a harmful drug amongst Imps and other hellborns -- Unlike H-8. So I don't know if Blitz meant that she was clean off of H-8, or drugs entirely ??? I don't know what I'm barbering about, but the thing I wanted to point is that I don't think she's COMPLETELY clean, unless the show makes it more clearer to me.

— × She's still somewhat struggling, and I wanted to make that show in her appearance with the eyebags, her clothes being torn, her mascara smudged, and the scars. I think it's safe to say that she is depressed, it's bound to happen when you lost your home, your mum -- And in my mind, she used to be really close with Fizzarolli, so she might've thought he was dead for a really, REALLY long time. And despite Barbie being mad at Blitz, she also lost her brother. There's no doubt in my mind saying she doesn't miss him, no matter how many times she says or tries to think otherwise.

— × In my head, I think Barbie would have been pissed over the fact Blitz owns their mother's little necklace thingy, when I think she was the one who most likely stuck around with her mum the most. She especially thinks he doesn't deserve to have it because of what he's done, which in her mind, she probably doesn't know was an accident. Even if she knew or not, she's still pissed ; So, she got earrings that were similar to the necklace in remembrance of her mum.

— × I'd like to think Barbie is more like her mum, and Blitz like his dad, but she has similar aspects to her dad, like her hands for example. They both canonically have black fingers -- I can imagine she'd hate having the hands of her father considering he was an asshole. Mmm angst

—× Gave her piercings yibbieee and more scars on the face from the accident, she was one of the few, like her dad, who didn't get burnt much.

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS FALSE INFO SOMEONE LET ME KNOW PLEASE, but I saw someone say that in the storyboards, Barbie was seen coming out of the same burning tent their mother was in -- I'd like to think they we're trying to get eachother out safely, but Tilla ended up getting stuck and just nudged Barbie out, so her last memory of her mum was watching her BURN FACE TO FACE. Even if the screenshots of the storyboards were fake, I'm going to HC that it did happen you can't fight me.

It turns out I did write alot but theres still so much more...

× By any means am I claiming that the ones in the show are rubbish and that mine are " better ", nor am I saying my designs are animation-friendly -- I just thought I'd have fun redoing them and then sharing my thoughts on it. I'm gonna blabber about each design in red writing, so skip those of you're not much of a reader.

-- × Up first, we got Boss Man : Blitz with no O

-- × His is a little bit bland, mainly because I didn't exactly know what to do with his design and just kept some of his canon design aspects into my one. I've seen alot of people claim that his original design doesn't exactly scream assassin boss, which never really occurred to me since it wasn't exactly something I thought about until I decided to redesign him.

-- × I also noticed his original design was meant to incorporate a bit of clown flare into it, which I did try do myself with the clown pom pom balls and clown makeup but I'm not sure if it really shows that.

-- × Okay I know alot of people complain about the show (Specifically Hazbin Hotel, but I've seen a few say the same about Helluva too) about the red, and Blitz is already red enough -- But the reason I made him I guess- REDDER (or tried to ???) was because even though I think he was born in the Greed ring (I'm pretty sure ?) I wanted to show off how he's trying to leave his past behind him ever since he moved to Pride. The bits and pieces of clown stuff are still there though, so it represents how his past still haunts him.

-- × Oooo so edgy and mysterious.

-- × Next up, we've got The Muscle : Millie !!

-- × I always had an issue at the lack of different body types in Helluva, or at least with the main cast. I've seen some plus sized characters, but they're mostly background characters and unimportant, I wish they could have added that with Millie because they genuinely have potentiaaalllll they can make a mannequin plus size on THE FULL MOON ep but not one of the main casts ???? 😞😞😞

-- × Like alot of Millie redesigns I've seen, I wanted to make her more beefy n' shit, Millie is a strong woman, and I wish people weren't so afraid to add muscles to their female characters in shows like these. One thing I wish I could have done better with my redesign for her was the fact I don't think I drew her as thicker as I wanted, which I'll fix in future art pieces of her 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

-- × I also wanted to make it more obvious that she's from Wrath, so more orange-y ??? I feel she'd be the type to honour her roots despite the show showing that Imps from Wrath are more lower class ??? -- By what Millie was saying to Blitz on episode 10 of season 2 when they first moved to Pride I think.

-- × I only realised half way through the drawing what Millie's belt buckle looks like, I just hope you guys like fast food LMAOOO

--× I know he was primarily born in Wrath, but he did grow up in Greed with his dad. I don't know if this is canon already, but I'd like to think his mother was more Wrathian, and his father Greed. Greed-ian ?? What

-- × I purposefully made him look a little pompous, solely because I think he has a greed to impress people. At least attempt to.

-- × Many people complain that Millie and Moxxie's canon designs are quite similar, and it makes it seem like they're more siblings than a married couple -- Which I can kind of understand why. I wanted to make them slightly opposite to eachother, Millie is quite bigger, Moxxie is more smaller. Millie's more loud, Moxxie's more quiet. She's a little unkept, but he's more tidy !!! But even so, they still go with eachother pretty well, Moxxie uplifts her by reminding her of her worth, and Millie does the same by empowering him and his strengths.

-- × I kind of wanted to show Moxxie as this kind of symbol of the resilience of what society considers " weak " or " incapable ". He struggles to walk, his vision isn't great, his tail doesn't work properly, and he's much smaller compared to Blitz and Millie, aswell as other Imps. But despite all of these " disadvantages " , he's always able to prove people wrong by being so great at his job. He might struggle more than others, but he's just as capable as anyone else despite that !!!

-- × Lastly, The Woman Of The Phones. Aka, The Receptionist : Looney !!

-- × I genuinely don't have much to say about her just because she was the most difficult for me to redesign.

-- × You can tell I sort of rushed hers a little and I apologise to the Loona stans out there 😔

-- × I don't technically dislike Loona's canon design at all, the whites and blacks are pretty cool n' shit I just wanted to make her have pretty, sparkly eyeshadow and cool hair.

-- × I'm not too keen on the sexualisation of her amongst the fandom ?? I know she's like, 22, so it's not near as bad as how people do the same with Octavia who's only fucking 17 YEARS OLD !!! It's not really a problem, but it's just a little weird to me -- because of how much of an edgy teenager she sort of acts in the show, she made me think she was one during the pilot. I still love her though !! <33

-- × I don't know if I was able to make her look Scene enough, but maybe if I receive any feedback from people who are a fan of Scene, I could change some stuff up !!!

-- × I didn't bother to colour in the phone, did you notice ???
