I don't think anyone but Kageyama could understand Hinata's need to feel like someone, to have his dreams understood and respected. Kageyama understood it perfectly 'cause he wanted to be someone who mattered, someone who wasn't abandoned, someone who could achieve that dream and didn't have to do it alone.

They were both lonely and needed to be someone in different ways, but at the end of the day they just wanted to be someone and they became someone for each other.
