Do You Watch?
Should you know?
The thing that looked like Loki but was not walked down the hallway, eyes glancing as it examined the disarrayed and falling apart walls. They were quite out of order, werenāt they? Ideal for their circumstances, but disappointing, nonetheless.
When they got to this version of Lyfrassir Edda, they glanced down at them, tilting her head slightly. āDo you require assistance?ā Best to start with help, then make its desires known.
- @whothe-fuckami
Lyf looked up at this Loki who did not look right.
"Why do you have her face?"
Not-Loki inhaled slightly. Why did that have to be the first question everybody asked?
āIt is not by my choice, believe me. I do not wish to impersonate.ā She not-answered, offering a hand. āYour hallways seem to be rather out of order. Would you like some assistance getting yourself together?ā
Spiral stared for a moment before nodding.
"Yes. Please."
The Not-Loki nodded, flicking her wrist slightly. In an instant, the hallways were cleared of their debris, rendered back to order. The portraits, scattered and damaged as they were, were restored to their original states and put back in their places.
āIs that better?ā it asked, gazing at Lyf curiously.
Part of Lyf settled.
Not much but part.
"Yes, thank you."
The Not-Loki nodded, offering a hand. āAre you quite alright? You seem rather in distress.ā
Being alright is a construct I don't abide by.
Hm. That wasā¦
The thing that did not want to be Loki did not particularly understand mortal emotions very well. But, it had to play its cards carefully, right now.
āThat does not sound like a particularly enjoyable way of viewing the world.ā
Lyf raveled and unraveled, glitching and short circuiting. They'd be alright when they had their Anchors.
"Anchor taken, need her back. She isn't here. Not safe to go to the others. Can't hurt them. So I'm here unraveling. Something trying to hold onto personhood having anchors stolen is an unraveling of identity."
Not-Loki paused. āI am rather sorry to hear that. Is there any way I could help you further?ā
Lyf tilted their head at them, their head which seemed to glitch into their shoulder.
"You don't fear. I don't suppose you have Food? Fear?"
Ah. This was going to be easy, then.
ā...Actually, I was going to come here for a favor. One that would benefit you, as well.ā It replied. āThere is a version of yourself, who I believe you have spoken to. As of right now, they are fading, and have kept themself from informing anyone of this fact. Your corridors act as an⦠inbetween, of sorts. They will remain stable in reality while in here, and they can act as a food source for you. I can supply you with a means to get to them, if youād like. A doorway of my own. You can keep them from fading too far, while Feeding in the process.ā
Lyf tilted their head further, thinking.
Food would bee good.
Not friends though.
Friends aren't food.
"Friends aren't food. I'll help them, keep them safe, can't lose any more friends. Won't eat them."
āIām not asking you to consume them. Just⦠keep them, for some time.ā The Not-Loki replied. āIt will be safer here for them than it is in their current situation.ā
"Safe. That's a word, an illusion. I'll keep friend safe."
Safety.
What a thing.
"Won't be like others who said keep Ivy safe and got her hurt. Will keep friend safe."
Not-Loki nodded. āGood. I wish you luck.ā She offered a hand to them. It seemed appropriate.
Lyf reached their hand to Not Loki's, shaking their hand.
"You know, doors are crossroads. I wonder which I have sent myself down."
āThatās the thing about choices. You very rarely know what is at the end of the path.ā
It rested its hand on Lyfrassirās wall, and a stone archway of green-mottled stones built itself up. It led into another part of the corridors, a blue door at the end.
āThat will lead you to them, when you are ready.ā
Lyf nodded.
"Choose your path."
Spiral walked down the hall, to the blue door.
They turned towards the person who was not Loki.
"If you can, tell Ivy I'm gonna get her home."
With that they approached the door and knocked ever so gently.
āI do not think I will be able to,ā she replied. āBut she will be home soon. The Inspector of the universe she resides in currently has returned. They will be able to return her soon.ā
With that, it vanished.

Finally back. Hm.
Are you searching for something too?
Searching? No. Acquiring is a different matter.
Did your universe have an El?
If it did, I am not aware of it. Not that it would matter, sheās most certainly dead if she ever existed.
Oh. Bifrost survivors. Interesting.
Tell me. How is your reality fairing thus far?
- @whothe-fuckami
Uh. What? Do you mean life? Well, it is uhā it is certainly going, I suppose.
Itās certainly a thing, right now. Weāre not doing great, but we are better than⦠a few months. Well, a bit before recently I suppose. Before you all appeared.
Bad.
Interesting. Good to know, I suppose.
Is the Bifrost spreading? To your group, or further beyond Yggdrasil?
ā¦hold on.
.
.
do we tell them?
the voices already hear everything we go through, so.
I would say so, yes.
alright then.
.
As far as I know, it is only spreading to me, but I donāt know.
ā¦
ā¦
ā¦Bragi?
Nothing.
I donāt believe you. We will talk about this later.
Anyways, I am fairly mildly affected by the Bifrost, and it is steadily getting worse. *As far as I know*, no one else on the Ymir is affected.
Hm.
Tell me. How do you think it is going to continue? Do you think youāll recover, eventually, get the Bifrost out of you, or⦠rot away slowly, from the inside? A mortal body is not meant to hold something from outside reality, you know.
I donāt know. I havenāt thought about it too much, unless you count spiraling which I do not.
Holy shit, Arnbjorg actually taking my advice and not letting himself spiral further after stopping?
I am going to poison your food.
Love you too.
*Anyways*, I donāt know. I donāt want to think about it. Even if I doā
You will not.
Iā
You will not. I will not let you.
You canāt promise that, Bragi.
I canāt but I still will.
No dying. Not allowed.
Either way, it will have effects on me. I have been feeling odd recently, and I donāt know whatās the Bifrost and what is the trauma of losing my home. I also donāt know whatās⦠happening, exactly. If you have advice I would love to take it.
Hm. You can either embrace the changes, or you can deny them. Denying might last you for a while. Or, if youāre lucky, the rest of your life. Who knows what embracing the Bifrost will bring?
I am not embracing this. Thisā this *thing* killed my home, everyone I fucking know except my brother and best friend are *dead*. I will die a painful death before letting this take me over.
And⦠speaking of mortality, what do you define by a lifetime? I am certain you donāt know how long every species lives, and Niflheim Folk can live a damn long life. I very well could live another century and still would not exceed the longest lived Niflheim Folk.
But I still want to deny this, as long as it will go. How can I do that?
I have not dealt with Yog-Sothoth myself in quite some time, but out of what Iāve seen from others affected by the eldritch, as long as those who inflicted this upon you do not take an interest, you will be able to survive, at least. It may get worse with time, it may get better. How it progresses depends entirely on chance, your importance to the outer gods, and what choices you make when the time comes.
Some outer gods are more predictable than others. Yog-Sothoth is the All-In-One, One-In-All. It does not make its desires known, if it even has them at all. I do not believe I can help you with the dealings of the Bifrost.
So it is both completely up to chance and you can't do anything about it.
...fucking great. Love that.
Considering the one who did this is long dead and has been for the better half of a century and most likely couldn't care less about some old rando from Niflheim, I think I am safe in that regard. Unless Yog-Sothoth itself took an interest in me, which I hope to all gods that will listen is not the case.
Also what the actual *fuck* do you mean you have dealt with Yog-Sothoth before?
Hm? Oh. Well, I have not dealt with it with my current memory, but I do presume I have interacted with it in the past, though most likely only in passing. Apologies, I am unable to tell you of these experiences, though what I do know of it, it is unlikely to interfere. It should be rather content to gorge itself on the remains of your system for the next few millennia, or so.
What youāll be wanting to look out for would be other outer gods taking an interest, but⦠as you said, they will most likely not pay much attention to a random mortal. You havenāt done anything to draw their attention, that I know of, and I suggest you keep it that way.
Oh. Bifrost survivors. Interesting.
Tell me. How is your reality fairing thus far?

Aro Ace Confirmed?
Labels such as that mean nothing to me.
