Man…It amazes me just how much some grown adult people on here go off about fictional French teenage characters in a cartoon for kids and absolutely overanalyze every minute move they make, as if they are real human people with a real human impact, according to some arbitrary scale of.. something. And all of that without taking into account, these are fictional characters, and fictional characters who are still kids and still learning about life and how to navigate it. 

I’m all for analyzing character intentions and development, but it is often just take way too far, both in good and bad ways. But these characters are not written to be THAT complex. They are not real people, and this is not a live action drama night soap series. 

Sometimes I imagine if Hey Arnold was a recently created show and currently running. I imagine all the Helga salt and discourse for stalking and worshiping Arnold. I imagine the scrutiny every character would be under for every mundane action the writers chose for them to take. 

I wish people would stop expecting non-existent, teenage cartoon characters to adhere to their unattainable levels of “acceptable”. Not everything is a deep, serious, life-altering, situation that needs to be analyzed under a microscope. I’m all for fan theories and apologetics as much as the next fan, but there is a point where it’s taken too far.

Opinion on Kuro Neko and Adrien's "true self"

People keep arguing whether Chat Noir is Adrien's true self or it's Cat Walker.

Also, remember that breakdown Marinette had, when for an episode she found out Chat Noir's identify and was frustrated that he and Adrien wasn't the same person?

I think, Adrien (as we know him) and Cat Walker are the same. No, hear me out. As we know him. As Marinette sees him. As his father raised him: perfect, obedient, polite, careful.

You know why Chat Noir's so different? I think, it's what Adrien would've been if he was raised by his mother. We know little about her, but I imagine that she's all happy, cheerful sunbeam that brings love in this world. Chat Noir is Adrien's mother side: warm, witty, kind, caring.

It's not about his "true" or "wrong" self. It's about the boy who doesn't have a chance to be who he is. So, he ends up with having two completely different sides of himself
