its been a while

i have not had the inspiration to create my own prompts/tropes etc. recently and i do apologize for that

if you have any suggestions or requests for certain prompts, dialogues, or snippets, please throw them at me. i'll take whatever :] anyways, happy whumping i'll try to post something in the near future hopefully

Whumpee who still wants their muzzle on despite having been rescued by Caretaker months ago. It's the one thing they won't part with from their time in captivity, though neither Caretaker nor they have any idea why they're so attached to it.

Whumpee hung limply from their manacles, wrists strained by the metal keeping them upright. Their knees were on the stone floor, raw and bleeding, and their head sagged between their taut shoulders. A strip of black fabric was tied tightly across their eyes, complimenting the silvery metal of the muzzle clamping their jaws closed. The extra touch of blood sluggishly running down their back and pooling on the floor was Whumper's favorite part. They loved seeing their precious plaything like this, whimpering and clearly on the edge of unconsciousness. Beautiful.

Caretaker finally finding where Whumpee has been held captive, but they're just too late. All they find is a dark place filled with death and blood. Whumpee has escaped.

Caretaker follows the trail of blood and bodies from Whumpee's cell to an exit, and seeing all evidence of the violence and desperation. The dead bodies of the guards, some with their weapons still sheathed, killed before they knew what was happening. Others clearly killed in a struggle.

Caretaker's heart breaks, imagining the desperation with which Whumpee has fought. But they push it away, there is just one thing that matters now; finding Whumpee.

Whumpee doesn't know how long it's been since they finally escaped. Has it been days? Hours? Minutes? They have no way of telling. They don't even realize how many months they've spent in captivity.

Curled up in the corner of the wall, they try not to close their eyes. They don't want to see the horrors they caused projected onto their eyelids again. It was too much. Too much, and they're scared for their life because of it, though they know Whumper's dead now. They killed them themselves. But the fear still lingers, that they will be caught and taken because of what they did. It's only fair.

They have no idea how long they sat there in the lonely street, expecting that any moment they will be found.

Then, they hear the echoes of footsteps. Someone walking up the street towards them. They don't dare look up, resigned to whatever fate the newcomer will bring to them.

Whumpee to Caretaker/Caretaker to Whumpee Dialogue

"I can't trust you (anymore)."

"Why are you doing that..?"

"It's not that bad-"

"None of this is your fault, okay?"

"Sorry if I interrupted something-"

"I don't understand. How can you live like this?"

"Can you just- pause, for one second? I- I need to think about this."

"..What did you just say?"

"I'm not an idiot. I know what you're doing."

"I don't have permission to do that."

"Just tell me who made/makes you do this. I just want to know."

"I-I promise I'm trying. I really am-! Please believe me-"

"I'm sorry- just- put down the knife, okay? I'm sorry-"

What Is Love? (A Pet Whump Poem)

cw: themes of abuse, vague mention of nsfw [This is not what love actually is, but a Whumpee's thoughts about what they've been told is love. Please read with caution]

What is love?

Love is being fed. A meal means you've done a good job, and you deserve something for it.

Love is being petted. The ruffles of the hair, the scratches behind the ears, the stroking of the cheek. Gentle touches.

Love is going for walks. Seeing the outside for the first time. Being able to enjoy the leash. Smelling fresh air.

Love is getting displayed. Being cared for enough to be shown off in front of others. Seen as beautiful, a thing to treasure. Precious. Owned.

Love is being used. Nothing is better than bringing pleasure to those who want it. It's simple to understand, harder to perfectly accomplish, but the rewards are always worth it. I promise you.

And love is being hurt. Loved enough to be taught what is right and wrong. How to properly behave, and what happens when you misbehave. It is knowing when you need correction, and when you've done the best you possibly can. It is taking the stick even when you believe you've done nothing wrong. It is obeying everything the first time it's said, even when you disagree.

That is what love is, to me.
