She's getting so good at stepping with her brace on!
Interesting quarter I got as change from a vending machine.

Vice is warming up to the kittens... very slowly.
You have to understand that when I first got foster kittens, Vice was actively trying to fight them. It was embarrasing. Sir, you're a grown man and that is an infant.
But this is just a token warning hiss! He's barely chaging body language; this is just a hefty No Thank You from him. Still progress!
Vice and the kitten he said he didn't want
Okay. I have made an apron. Did I accidentally leave an iron on overnight and not realize until 10 am the next day at work and then ran home from the office to turn it off ( no less than three people on my walk home asked why the heck I wasn't at work, all wanted updates on the iron situation) and only just finished it after getting totally sidetracked making pizza? Maybe.
“Earth Star Voyager” (1988), a Disney series from 1988 made right after TNG became a hit, that never went to series. They aired the pilot episode as a “Disney Movie of the Week.” It was a series about an exploration vessel, mostly manned by handsome and extremely marketable young people (due to the length of the voyage).
Disney has never released Earth Star Voyager on DVD, and it is, presently, not available for streaming anywhere. I hope the future Disney streaming service corrects this and features little oddities like this.
It would have been very interesting if this ever went to series. As it is, it remains one of the more interesting what-if pilots that never got made, along with City Beneath the Sea, Gene Roddenberry’s Planet Earth and Questor Tapes (a show about an android searching for his creator), and the 60s Wonder Woman pilot that had the cavegirl actress Nova from Planet of the Apes.
Good morning time for stepping!
One of Mayhem's biggest problems post-surgical complications has been a lack of nervous response in her toes, which has caused her to step over them, standing on her knuckles instead of on her flat foot. Physical therapy has been an effort to get her to step properly and actually use that leg.
This whole project was heavily inspired by the work of Lina Shamoon/ Mirrors by Lina (website here, check out her very cool and much higher quality work). My spin on things is definitely not made as well as her stuff, but I'm still loving the effect.
This thing is still bringing me a great deal of joy. It's usually the last thing I see on my way out of the house in the morning and it's very good.
In the 30 minutes that Mayhem has been home from physical therapy, she's tried to fight Vice though the cat flap and has taken down a houseplant. Still got it.
Well I've spent the last three hours using leather salvaged from the upholstery of my aunt's couch to make Mayhem a custom harness. Mayhem gets it because I don't know what I'm doing and is the most tolerant of fitting, out of the three cats. Lots of experimental sewing and foiling and patterns!
I shaved a liiiiittle bit of extra material off around the collar, but as you can tell, it's quite soft and she's just got a lot of fluff.
The only one of them that knows how to behave outside is Malice.
What weirdos.
Well those are allllmost done
question. why do you have 7 featureless grey monoliths in your driveway
There's eight actually but the last one is still in the garage

They're actually a really dark purple
question. why do you have seven featureless really dark purple monoliths in your driveway and an eighth in the garage
Some of them do have features though. There's holes and hinges and stuff, so I can put secrets in em

...ah.
I saw another post about this that I now can't find to reblog, but there's a wave of mobile ads that are autoplaying audio. This violates tumblr's ad policy and you SHOULD report them. Hopefully enough of us will do so to get rid of them entirely.
Hit the meatball menu in the top corner next to the X, and report for autoplaying audio.
