the fabric settled around her shoulders, heavy and familiar, comforting. nessa's fingers curled into it and she half smiled. she hadn't felt like this in two years. that was an absurdly long time. she'd known she loved him - that much was clear to her before he vanished - but she hadn't realized how deep the emotion ran until she was separated from him. "yeah. we are. no idea what we'll do after though."

    he didn’t know either. they should probably stop trying to go to waterdeep. it wasn’t like anything good had come of it except multiple kidnappings. “we find somewhere where we won’t get nabbed by something. or fucked with. i know it’s basically impossible but we can at least try.”
