“Well I uh-I’m sorry for hurting you.”
“Doesn’t change the fact that it happened.”
“Not a thing.” Bianca took the only empty seat by the pool, which happened to be right next to Zoe. She adjusted herself on the chair and perched her sunglasses higher up on the bridge of her nose. “Not that I really care either way.”
“Now that really doesn’t surprise me.” Zoe rolled her eyes, adjusting her sunglasses and she leaned back in the chair. The tension in the air was really thick, with Zoe trying her best to be nice to the older girl. “So, um, what all have you done here?”
Frankie gave a nod. “I didn’t hear anything yeah.” she replied, taking a seat next to the other girl. “Unless you wanna talk about it? Then I may have heard.”
“I’m surprised, Frankie. You’re actually talking to me without wanting to rip my hair out.” Zoe sighed, putting her phone down. “It’s nothing you don’t already know. My mom is using me for money and I now have no one I can go to.”
“You’re right. I didn’t hear anything. I’ll be on my way.”
“Never said you had to leave, but you’re not exactly someone I want to be around right now.”
Becky wanted to take a quick dip after a long day, she was a chipper mood until she saw Zoe. Freezing up, she didn’t realize she was sitting next to her until it was too late. She shook her head nervously to confirm she had heard nothing of her conversation.
“Good, now we can go back to ignoring each other.” Zoe pulled her sunglasses down over her eyes, looking away from Becky. Sure, the girl was being a bit of a baby about the situation, but that was Zoe Rivas. When she didn’t get her way, things didn’t end well for the people who hurt her.

“Not like it matters. You didn’t hear anything too embarrassing from that conversation. Sorry for freaking out. I’m just stressed.”

“Yeah, thanks for calling Mother. I really appreciate that you’re so worried about me.” Zoe had went to lounge by the pool to get her mind off the past few days, but of course her mother had to ruin the moment with this phone call. Noticing someone familiar sitting down next to her, she quickly hung up the phone, looking over at them. “You didn’t hear that.”
