“Oh…,” she said dumbfounded by the name, “You aren’t from around here are you?”
"... No. My home is elsewhere. Do you mean to say that this land is yours?"
“I’m Serah Farron, who might you be then?” she eyed the armor, feeling it familiar but still unsure of it’s origins.
What did she owe the other? Her name certainly didn't seem like a fair trade. However, Lady Farron's home was shelter nonetheless- and it was a relief to finally be covered from the relenting sun.
"Miluda Folles. Woman of the Dead Men and former knights of the Northern Sky, Lady Farron."
Woman of the Dead Men
Filo’s lips curled up slightly in a hesitated smile, “No prob…” The zombie seemed to be doing just fine, the board was helping just enough for her…until she lost her grip. The board tottered for a moment but Filo was easily able to gain her balance.
Filo didn’t even notice that the hand slipped out of the gauntlet, she was too busy trying to keep the board from tipping over. Only when she realized that her hand was still grasping the hand she screamed. There was not limb or body attached, the girl thought surely the hand popped off.
With the scream filling the air, Filo quickly dropped the gauntlet, her hands curled into light fists against her chest.
By the gods, the girl was loud. Palms pushing against the ground, the swordmaiden stood, swaying slightly. Her legs locked due to the sudden weight, but with moments Miluda staggered forward toward the other.
"Must you speak in unholy tones?" She hissed, voice hoarse with discuse. "I've heard rats sing with much more pleasantry."
An Introduction to Ivalice
The world of Ivalice was first developed during the creation of Yasumi Matsuno’s Final Fantasy Tactics, released in 1997. Since then, various other Ivalice titles have since emerged, almost all of them taking place in different locations.

The woman looked tough— tougher than Tomaj could handle if his flirting antics did strike out. He decided to keep calm with this one, perhaps he’d flirt later after he knew her. He gave a somewhat hesitant smile, “Hello, miss. I figure you’re new around here like most— I’ve come to give my greetings on behalf of MoogleTown, and, of my own accord, of course.”
He's certainly a pleasant one. The corners of her mouth tilted upwards, mimicking his hesitant smile.
"I believe you are the only, if not the first resident I've met in this quaint town." The others she had met were just as lost as she was, save for the judge in armor.
A bit relieved to hear that this place had a proper name, she placed her left hand over her chest. "Many thanks, Mr...?"

As soon as she mentioned Ivalice, he could do little more than gape at her. “Archadia is one of the great empires of Ivalice,” he said matter-of-factly. “Unless…” He had heard enough tales from Ajora to know of a “future” Ivalice, a future in which people lived in poverty and tyranny and fear. A future in which religious leaders dealt hands in shadowy corners. A future in which the Holy Saint was revered. It was likely Miluda came from this Ivalice, the one that was so unfamiliar to him.
“Pay me no mind,” he said at long last. “Forgive me. I was lost within my own thoughts. I… doubt you have heard of the Archadian Empire or her Judgeship, much as the Dead Men are unfamiliar to me. Ivalice is full of secrets, it seems.”
She could feel her face growing red at the mention of Archadia. Perhaps the history and its people were taught to the privileged at the akademy but she most certainly didn't hear of it by passing wind. From the pieces she picked together from her men and her brother, Ivalice bordered Romanda and Ordallia. Involved with the Fifty Years war meant shaping their country- though rumors persists Ivalice surrendered. Her brother and her men fought under the order of Barbaneth Beoulve, before the elder brother resumed position.
There was no Archadia, she was certain and she wasn't about to let that go. "What secrets?"
She didn't like his silence; as though he planned to keep quiet about the more pressing matters of Ivalice and its past. Her lips trembled, and Miluda clenches her fists tightly.
"What do you hide, nobleman?"

“Oh, hello there,” she glanced down at the sand that was piled upon the floor with a small frown, “Do I know you?”
The swordmaiden shook one of her boots for good measure, shaking the rest of the sand from the old folds. "I'd not think we've met before, noblewoman."

Folles. Folles. He had heard that name before, but he could not for the life of him remember where. It was on the very edge of his mind, he was so close to knowing it… but all recollection of it seemed to slip away from him the harder he tried to grasp it. He would have to think more on it.
But he was surprised to hear that she was a leader of her own troops, whether as a formal military commander or not. Surprised, but not overly so. His immediate thought was that he was curious to see how she would fare in combat. Then he began to wonder what sort of army would name their troops “Dead Men”, and if Miluda were not instead some sort of resistance leader. “The Dead Men, you say?”
Her brother was easier at reading other people than her capability allowed. The judge's hesitation-was at her "title"? She hadn't seen the other members of the Dead Men since her arrival.
"Aye," she nodded, confirming his suspicions. "We, the Dead Men are flesh and blood of Ivalice's children."
Arms crossed, the younger Folles tilted her head. "Your motherland is Archadia, you say? Have you come far in your journey?"
