This is a really fantastic return to form for this genre of post. In recent years there's been less and less effort put into this vital aspect of internet culture, it's nice to see a return to the truly artisanal work of the late 00s.
Now THIS is what the internet exists for. I was LOCKED IN the whole time.
Lion King (1994) explaining the importance of stylized 2D animation: Lion King (2019) and Cats (2019):
Kimba The White Lion (1965) explaining the importance of an original idea:
Lion King (1994) Lion King (2019) Cats (2019)
Shakespeare (1564) explaining the importance of an original idea:
Kimba the White Lion (1965), The Lion King (1994), The Lion King (2019), Cats (2019):
Saxo Grammaticus (c. 1160 – c. 1220) explaining the importance of understanding that all creative work is inherently derivative once you study the oral tradition of storytelling and history and that’s okay because generations have always reformatted tropes and themes to make them relatable to their current audiences
Shakespeare (1564), Kimba the White Lion (1965), The Lion King (1994), The Lion King (2019), Cats (2019):
Tyrannosaurus rex (Late Cretaceous) explaining nothing because he’s a don’t give a fuck
Oh, to be a little kitten who just got vaccinated and then taken to a high-end restaurant and tasted the best food the chefs could offer and then fell asleep in a basket.
W-Why are there people glazing Troy (2004)? It... wasn't a good movie IIRC.
Did I redownload this hell app on my new phone just to browse pics of French Woman(tm)? Why yes. Yes I did.
Normal supplies for normal adventurers.
i'm gonna start formatting my emails like this
Yes I know you could outscale empire size in Stellaris but I don't like seeing bad number go up so I stay smol
I must stop being a coward and learn how to wide
See people go on about Lune Clair Obscur's feet but imo it's her hands which are really mesmerizing like her idle pose on the menu screen makes me feel some sort of thing gods I wish French people were real
I hate it when I'm right [about me being such a careless slob, so I bought a back-up adapter for my laptop which suddenly became relevant today]
I close YouTube to open... YouTube.
Welp. Brainrot is real.
memories of you🌸
my piece that i drew last year for the Persona 3 MEMENTO zine - leftover sales are currently open here!
Thinking about how P3R's EN recast is... absolutely perfect. Like almost all of them capture the OG's feel. And the notable exemption, Akihiko's new VA, does a good performance with his own voice that the only real reason to miss the old VA is nostalgia.
Barring one or two cases, yeah, it's a shame the old cast don't reprise their roles--but hey, most of them ARE in P3R as cameos!
Man P3R really is a near-perfect remake of a perfect game.
