Well this was certainly new news to Lilly! And the excitement of this revelation was far past prevalent in her expression. She hopped, hovered, and kicked her legs in excitement, before landing with clapping hands. Speaking of hands, they were quick to go over silver sights after the activity finally mellowed.
“Just the fact that it’s coming from you is all I need to make it special, Papa.” She smiled, rocking back and forth during her wait. Upturned cheeks wouldn’t fade while energy next to visibly expelled from Lilly, happily waiting for her gift.
With Lilly’s eyes covered, Klonoa took advantage of the opportunity, taking the time to head off and get his gift for her. If Lilly kept her eyes closed, he could hear him going away for just a moment to get them for her, before walking back with a smile. He was moving quickly, at least.
“ ... Okay, here we go. ” He kept his hands behind his back, keeping them a secret for just a little longer. “ Now, um... here. Look. ”
Taking his hands out in front of him, he held them forward, revealing... a pair of white leather gloves. They weren’t... perfectly fitted, being thick and a little big - it was clear he had her in mind getting them, but... well, probably didn’t have a lot of options. Still, it’s the thought that counts, right? “ I, um... I thought you’d like them. You don’t need to wear mine now - and, hey, it can keep your hands from freezing the things they touch, I think. ”
It was hardly extravagant or anything, and it might not have been the best idea for a birthday gift... but it was an earnest gift, and just seeing it had reminded him of her. That had to be worth something, right?
