First post!

My name is Izzy (she/her), and I like to tap about anything to anyone who will listen. I made this blog to sort of write my thoughts down, just in whatever I'm feeling at the time. It'll mostly be about things I watch and play, and things that make me think. I'm not the best at writing so you'll just have to bear with that.

I love a lot of things but my current fix is Digimon though I'm very new to the space and have only just made it through Tamers. So I'll probably be talking about those first three seasons a lot. (And yes palmon is my super favorite)

one of my biggest nitpicks for modern games is that it feels like none of the text/ui is in containers anymore: (original)

i understand the end goal is minimalism and not obstructing the environment, but a couple small flairs go a really long way to elevate a game's visual identity

I feel like it extends to the UI as well, I'm really not a big fan of modern Nintendo minimalist UI. I like when games sort of have an identity through other aspects of the visuals other than the base graphics. But stuff like this and odyssey really just give you the bare minimum in that department.

Not really a HUGE deal but I feel we've lost a lot of character in more recent from Nintendo in that regard (see switch UI and layout vs all other Nintendo consoles)

There is no one more perfect than you.

Even in the most self loathing, self hating cases, there is no one more perfect than you. Your thoughts, your perceptions, no one has them but you.

So when you build a base of militarized hate, when you create an online army to enact violence against those you oppose, when you become the leader of extreme violence, you will always be taken out by friendly fire.

Almost all violence in recent years against high profile Republicans and alt right losers has been friendly fire. They get people so worked up and angry and violent, that any difference in opinion is lethal, and grifters with no morals or stances will slip up. they'll say the wrong thing, and this it becomes the job of the new violent army they've cultivated to exterminate what they perceive as wrong in the world. After all, there's no one more perfect than them.

They have the right opinions, internet personality said so. But now internet personality is saying the wrong thing and they do what they always do to those saying the wrong thing.
