a rough design for 'awake' Ronin

I'm not entirely sure I like this one too much, I feel like if I were to do art of him being awake with backgrounds and whatnot, I'd probably go even less saturated with the colours, maybe just doing greyscale entirely.

In general I'm mostly just trying to come up with ways to contrast the dreams from the waking world. The dreams are more vibrant and saturated, more exaggerated shapes (softer, rounder shapes when it's calmer, sharper shapes when it's more stressful), bolder and cleaner lineart etc. When awake, everything is more messy and sketchy, more dull, less exaggerated. The lineart and overall presentation of the dreams gets more sketchy when Ronin has to confront and reflect on his waking life, like a sort of bleed-over effect.
