Anthony didn’t care if he had to move mountains today, tonight was going to be perfect. Or it WOULD be perfect... If everything wasn’t falling apart a mere TWO hours before their meeting time. He and Kimmie had been through so much together in the past year and he wanted to show her how much he appreciated her, loved her, absolutely adored her... But so far every flower shop in town was out of roses, he couldn’t get her favorite snack because all other stores were closed besides her own bakery. So with a bouquet of lillies and his suit that had spontaneously ripped on the sleeve, he showed up at the bakery just in time for their scheduled meet up. He opened the door and walked into the bakery he knew like the back of his hand, the smell of sweets and baked goods always making for a comfy atmosphere. And there she was, he’d grown so used to seeing her covered in flour and with dough in her hair that seeing her dressed up felt sort of incorrect for a second. “Happy anniversary baby.” He hummed, pulling her close for a kiss before offering her the flowers.
