Greetings!

I'm Wilde and this is my art/general creativity blog. I'm an artist, writer, and musician. I mostly make art and stories about my goofy aliens and their worlds. Lots of weird loose sci-fi and fantasy abound with occasional elements of horror.

I'm very quiet here, but I'm around.

rare personal update and being Nervously Sincere for one moment, but it does relate to the state of my creativity and this tiny space of mine is for my creativity, so here we go:

it's not really much of a secret, but i deal with dysthymia and c-ptsd. and despite the progress i've made, my motivation has been slowly deteriorating over time. it sort of crept up on me, and i reached another breaking point this year (my last breaking point was when i realized i needed to change careers last fall, so i did). this breaking point was the realization that if i don't medicate myself i'm never going to get anything done.

for a while i haven't been able to make a whole lot even when i want to, and the times i've had motivation and energy to do so, it's been in short supply. this is because i simply cannot feel joy or passion most of the time anymore (it's nice when i do though), and i'm tired and full of brain fog constantly. occasionally i've gotten some music, art, or writing done but i used to be able to create WAY MORE than "occasionally". i miss that. and i am tired of this.

so i decided to do something, because this shit is ass. i made an appointment. i waited. i went to the appointment. i managed to get put back on antidepressants and even some anxiety medication, and i just acquired my pills today, so i'm hoping that it'll bring back the passion and drive i used to have. fingers crossed! i can't wait to feel like a person again

#i want to make my fucking PROJECT already. i KNOW i can. i just need help. from my friend Pill.#please let there be a huge boom in art in like 1-2 months or whenever the fuck this stuff is supposed to kick in idr how long it takes #it's the same medication i was on years ago too! which was ok last time. wellbutrin baybee #this job i got last fall has been a blessing because i'm not constantly stressed about making rent anymore and have pto and benefits now #which meant i could finally see a doctor and all that again. i've been catching up on my health this year. i def have some new issues #fixing my life has kinda been a whole damn process. i have taken many steps. and i must take more.#i've been managing all alone for a few years but managing is. surviving. and surviving is not living. i want to live.

After months of composer's block I can finally place notes in FL Studio without immediately puking again. Here's a clip of a WIP I recently started

A buncha development art (with heavily varying degrees of polish and effort put into them, lmao). Been ironing out some designs lately and getting myself used to them as I claw my way out of a creative rut. The smug guy in his PJs is Machil and the guy in the last image is King Stratus.

A much needed ref update and final design touch-up for Arctos.

#he's got other outfits this is just what a ref was most important for #finally an armor design that keeps all the elements i liked (so most of the top half) and is actually easy for me to draw #i didn't mind his old design i just felt like stuff was missing and i hated drawing that armor. and the old helmet too #the other characters shouldn't be too hard because most of them don't wear armor that i need to go that into detail with #oc: arctos #wildeart
