Dear @taylorswift -

Just wanted to send some love your way and let you know I miss you. I can’t believe it’s almost been 2.5 years since we met! Time FLIES.

I feel really defeated right now and just really overwhelmed with my dream wedding day being affected by this pandemic. I know there are worse things happening in our world compared to having to postpone my wedding, so part of me is struggling with feeling guilty about being so upset, while the other part of me just can’t help but be really sad about it.

We celebrated 7 years in February and were supposed to have our wedding 4/3/20. We rescheduled with our venue to 6/11/20, but they even suggested all June couples choose a backup date just in case - so we also have 12/26/20 as well. I’m just heartbroken that my day isn’t happening when and how I’ve pictured it since we got engaged in May 2019. If we are still unable to have a full ceremony and reception in June with all of our guests (over 200), we may go forward with an intimate ceremony and use 12/26 as a reception date. It’s just, again, not how I’ve pictured my wedding day. And, again, I feel sad.

I know this is a very unusual and uncertain time for our nation and the world, and I know we are all making sacrifices to do what’s best for everyone... so I’m trying to find the positives and remind myself that this too shall pass. And maybe one day (emphasis on the maybe), we will look back at our love story and find more of a reason for all of this happening now. A little more time together at home, a longer time to use the word ‘fiancé’, a heightened excitement for when the big day comes.

I hope you’re staying safe and playing lots of scrabble and cuddling all the cats and maybe even writing some new songs 😇

Hey Taylor!!!!

When I became a teacher, I had this big huge dream that maybe someday you’d surprise my class in some way or another. Well, maybe now this could happen?

I don’t know if you know but I’m a kindergarten to third grade reading teacher in NY. This is my 6th year teaching but by far the hardest one. Right now, we’re closed to April 1st but I think we’re probably out much longer. It’s killing me because I miss my students SO much. This is totally uncharted territory and we didn’t know this would be happening the last time I saw them so we didn’t get to say goodbye. I have over 40 students that I work with and for the foreseeable future we’re teaching online. This is especially challenging because not all of my students have easy access to resources that allow them to learn this way. (Your donations to Feeding America could’ve helped some of my kids. Thank you.)

Anyway! Obviously, your music has been a big part of my life for over 13 years now and I couldn’t imagine a day without you in it in some way - yes even in my classroom. My classroom has your READ poster, we listen to your songs and have dance parties (they all LOVE ME! & shake it off the most!!).

My question to you, while we are trying to learn and teach from home is, will you please consider reading aloud your favorite childhood picture book in a short video? I can provide you with my email and keep this totally confidential, or like some other celebs have done in the past few weeks- you could post to YouTube or something. I know that you would make my students so beyond excited to hear you read to them. We talk about you all the time.

Just an idea that I hope you’ll consider. It would mean the world to me, @taylorswift. Thank you for all you’re doing in support of those affected by this virus, and for directly supporting so many fans. You have the absolute biggest heart.
