Ford Techna Concept, 1968. Originally presented as a Mercury, the Techna was an experimental car that featured more than 50 innovations in safety, electronics, powertrain layout, and body and chassis design. Some items did become commonplace, like anti-skid brakes, alloy wheels and body-coloured bumpers. Others, like the pivoting doors and asymmetric drivetrain, did not.

Renault Project H, 1968. A prototype V8 luxury car that was developed by Renault in the late 1960s but never put into production. The V8 engine was joint venture with Peugeot, however it proved troublesome, heavy and uneconomical, it evolved into the PRV “Douvrin” V6 that powered the Renault 30, Peugeot 604, Volvo 264 and the DeLorean among many other cars
