Lily couldn’t really decipher the emotion in Mary’s words when they were in written form and she hated it. So she looked at her face, looking for anything that would tell her how to act around her with this topic. As much as she refused to give up, they were running out of ideas, books, spells, charms, potions and anything that they could try. And she needed to know if she should be hopeful and demanding or a bit calmer if Mary was growing frustrated. She was afraid of driving her to a point where Mary herself wouldn’t want to try anymore. “We can’t do that. It’s way more risky. He’d definitely notice that much stuff going missing if he already haven’t notice the small amounts we’ve been stealing.” she sighed. “It’ll work, Mary.” she said with a small, cautious smile and squeezed her hand. “I have faith in this one. And I promise, I’ll give Professor Slughorn a pet fish or something if this works.” she chuckled.
What Lily said made alot of sense, but at the same time if they kept traipsing down to Slughorns pantry there was a higher chance they would get caught sneaking in again. “Alright.” she said with a nod of her head, trying not to feel to defeated. Before any other feelings could sink in and send her laying in bed for hours she stood up from where she sat on the floor. she brushed her hands over her butt making sure her skirt was where it was supposed to be. “A fish?” She asked confused as she turned towards the girl still sitting on the bed. “That seems like a weird present but I can’t stand Slughorn so I wouldn’t be the person to think up a gift for the man. All I know is I am ready to get this over with. Shall we go?”
