So yesterday I played an Adventure Mode DST mod with some other Robot Pizza Party people! It was good but a) hectic and b) slightly glitchy. We got A Cold Reception as our first world and stopped after that.

Everyone was insane or desperately staving off insanity all the time, because it was constantly raining and 75% of the dayclock was dusk, just like spring in real life, and @dragonheadskilax was dead for most of the game after running into some guardian pigs and took the opportunity to scout around without the constraints of material needs, up until I finally got fed up with the sanity drain and stuffed a heart into him. Also we were immediately attacked by frogs before the intro cutscene was even over.

I didn’t get any screenshots in between world hops, because I was too busy trying not to die. We had trouble finding food as well as our sanity woes, since food is often scarce in Adventure Mode even in singleplayer, and I made the sanity problem worse by eating raw green mushrooms for hunger.

some observations:

you actually do have a few seconds to get to land or deploy a fresh boat after your boat starts breaking up in DST, so you can see these lines without dying or cheating; in Shipwrecked you can still control your boat as long as it has more than 0 hp so you can get to land at this point if you’re careful

WX-78 sinking alone is resigned to their fate/stating an unfortunate fact; WX sinking when there could hypothetically be people around cries out for help (more directly than anyone else, even)

Maxwell loses his composure while sinking alone, but keeps a stiff upper lip about it in front of others

Wolfgang threatens to punch the ocean and Death itself when sinking alone, but loses his nerve when sinking with others

Unpopular opinion: Maxlie is cute and in no way an abusive relationship. Maxwell's just an idiot who fucked up and accidentally dragged his gf into a hellscape with him

i personally don’t like maxlie that much (just not my cup of tea!) but i don’t think its abusive!!! maxwell really was just a fuckin idiot that didn’t know what he was getting into and it fucked them both up.

I honestly really wanna know why people liked Warbucks. I guess some people just never saw how he was originally written as nor has much knowledge on people like him in history. If it’s gameplay mechanics then alright I guess money grubbing and being too uppity to eat seeds is interesting.
